The update that broke the Hattori ninjas also broke infantry fatigue. Thanks for fixing this.

does the ai care about their fatigue level?

It has been quite a long time, and I can't quite remember what exactly I changed, but it think it should work for both
Either way you could test it, best way would be to try out the units in melee and see if they perform worse

Does your fix only work for the original or in theory can fix it in the add-on as well? Thanks for the answer!!!
Frenky  [autor] 5 ABR 2024 a las 11:08
I am pretty sure that it does nothing in both, but only tested for original
Alfred_Faust 5 ABR 2024 a las 9:38
Fatigue does not affect fighters in FOTS or only in the original?

@Zene Sure, you can use them however you want

hello can i use your mods for my mods?

Does the AI actually start caring about the fatigue of it's units when using this mod? Or is that something that can't be changed due to stuff being hardcoded.
Frenky  [autor] 6 NOV 2021 a las 5:22
As far as I know it doesn't show on the unit cards. Also it probably should work with darth mod since that mod does not modify the same file this mod does
Miyamoto Musashi 5 NOV 2021 a las 23:46
Dose the debuff show up on the unit cards? and dose it work for darth mod?

Top Mod! Wonder when Multi-Players pick up on this. Can't somebody give CA a call to change the AI's running issue, so that Campaigns turn Gold? But thanks! for the Mod

This mod is made purely to fix something that was broken in the game

As for the difficulty I would say that this mod makes the game harder
When you play on legendary you are mostly going to be outnumbered severely in most battle and this mod makes pulling off heroic victories significantly harder, because your units will tire while they can just put their fresh units to fight your tired ones

Also, when playing a defensive siege you are supposed to win even with a number disadvantage unless they have artillery (which AI, or anybody really, never does)

Weather you consider this too hard or easy this mod is purely to fix a bug that makes one of the games core mechanics nonexistent and I and many others have already made a lot of mods to balance the game according to our and others preference

This is am awesome mod, the original implementation makes no sense, as it doesn't award optimizing fatigue level. However, as much as I hate to say it, it does make the game significantly easier. The AI loves to run, and even when the lines are engaged, units tend to run around for no reason. With this mod, the player's casualty is reduced quite a bit, making the line easier to hold. This is especially true in defensive sieges, after the AI climbs. To balance this difficulty deduction, should consider taking other handicaps when playing, such as no metsuke, as they are also unbalanced, overpowered.

Yes, naval categories used in Shogun 2 are also missing in the table, so they don't suffer from fatigue. But on a second thought, it may be better to leave them out.
A somewhat long explanation since I've got the time:
Same categories are used for both Shogun 2 and FotS ships. While S2 ships have oars and thus can reasonably suffer from fatigue, FotS' are steam-powered so at the least they would require different, smaller values. Judging by the leftover values on the table (probably from Empire), the devs also thought about that, as the only one suffering from fatigue is oared galleys. Maybe some minor debuffs applicable for both S2 and FotS can be tested, like -0.05, -0.1, -0.15.

That aside, I'm curious to see how the AI performs with this mod. A lot of people (including me) think that the AI doesn't understand fatigue, so it's possible that the devs didn't implement fatigue effects on purpose. My posts may sound a bit negative and skeptic, but still this is a great find, good work!
Frenky  [autor] 23 JUL 2021 a las 23:30
Do you mean that some of the naval units also don't receive their proper debuffs?
I don't play naval battles that much, and even when I do I don't pay that much attention to fatigue, and also things like this are really hard to notice even if you were paying attention since the debuffs don't show up in the ui
Could you please specify if you meant that some navy units also don't receive debuffs
nobubblegums 23 JUL 2021 a las 18:37
If that table works that way (could be a leftover from empire), you can also add naval categories (naval_merchant naval_medium naval_light naval_heavy)
RiceGuy_Now 8 JUL 2021 a las 10:13
yeah that's what I meant, thanks man
Frenky  [autor] 8 JUL 2021 a las 9:15
I usually do put down the changes in the description, but for this mod there is no point
It does exactly what the title says, infantry did not receive any debuffs that they were supposted to receive because of a dev oversight
This mod corrects this and gives them the intended debuff
If you were asking about what the debuff specificly does than its
Tired -10% run speed,-10% charge bonus,-5% accuracy,-10% melee attack
Very tired -25% run speed,-25% charge bonus,-10% accuracy,-25% melee attack
Exhausted -50% run speed,-50% charge bonus,-15% accuracy,-50% melee attack
If a unit is in some other state (like fresh, active, winded) it does not receive anything (as devs origionaly intended)
RiceGuy_Now 8 JUL 2021 a las 9:01
could you put down the changes in the description?

Good mod

Frenky  [autor] 5 JUN 2021 a las 3:50
It should, Infantry in fots is also defined by infantry_melee and infantry_ranged I think
Ora_ora_oraaaa 4 JUN 2021 a las 18:06
Does this apply to FotS as well?
