I really like this mod and I hope there could be an option to adjust the icon potion to fit other mods like "detailed respawn".

@Vingrix That's really sweet, thank you so much! I'm really glad that my mod could help others as they learn to mod the game. Game modding is one of the most fun ways to learn programming concepts, and if you are a creative person (unlike myself), the sky is the limit!

I have not played Isaac in a while, but I will subscribe to your mod just in case I ever come back to it. :resmile:

Hey! I know this is an old mod, but I think it's still fantastic! I was inspired by this to make a similar keybind mod to smelt trinkets. I'm new to modding but took a crack at disassembling the code you used to make a very rough version of that here: https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2945928747
I will be working to add more functionality to it in the future and have considered adding the limited use per run feature you did.

I would love to hear any feedback if you have time but mostly wanted to tell you I appreciate your work.

@Skareware_ Funny enough, the original version of this mod allowed that but I had to remove it because it caused some bad issues

it's a shame that you can't use this once the death animation has started. i imagine that's not an easy fix tho so dont worry ab it if you dont know how to change that/cant/dont want to

I'd like to amend my previous statement about this mod crashing my game. Turns out any mods that add new rooms cause the game to ctd and the run to be uncontinuable if you use Glowing Hourglass effects or try to quit the run to take a break and come back later. Mod works 100%

@SebTheSamMarten You can locate logs for Repentance in your Documents > My Games > Binding of Isaac Repentance. log.txt is the log for your most recent game, and if you see any named something like isaacv1.06-blahblah then those are crash logs. Try to find the one from your most recent crash - you can add me on Discord and send it there; Permamiss#8303

Wanted to also bring up, as Seb mentioned, this mod *really* doesn't play nice with other mods. Which is really weird, considering how all it does it just a glowing Hourglass effect on a keybind, which works perfectly fine when using the normal item. But whenever I have a modded item and I try to undo, my run gets corrupted and I have to start over, which often ruins great runs.

Updated so that the hourglass UI auto-adjusts with your current hearts/lives. Should feel nice and seamless.
Next update will add an "Uno Reverse Card"! Code is complete, just working on the spritework now. You will have the option to disable it in MCM.

@SebTheSamMarten Could you provide your error log? I have tested this mod thoroughly to ensure that there are no issues with Continuing.
If you use this mod alone and no others, are you able to Continue without issue?

Unfortunately this mod also seems extremely unstable. Easily half the time I try to use the charge, it just crashes the game and corrupts the run. (i.e trying to 'Continue' just crashes the game again.)

I agree with Notawallplan, having the mod interact with Glowing Hourglass would be pretty interesting. Maybe there could also be a rare consumable like Holy Card that you could consume to gain another charge of Ctrl-Z as an alternative means of gaining more charges.

@Crying to Radiohead isn't lame I just pushed a new update for the mod, it should work for real now. If the load system does not recognize the save data, it initializes new save data (not a big deal since it's only saving the amount of undos you have left). After the refresh it should no longer fail. :)

MCM is no longer being updated/supported so there's always the potential for it to break with any update or any new mods. MCM continued is just mcm being updated by a new person in case of any changes. It might get new features in the future, it might not, but it will be more stable. Just adding my 2 cents since I can't use this any more since I use mcm continued

@Friend~Chip I have been using the original MCM, since as far as I am aware MCM Continued has no extra features. If I am incorrect on this and there is any advantage to using MCM Continued then I will look into it!

@Friend~Chip @Crying to Radiohead isn't lame Thanks for the heads-up! I changed the save system last night but forgot to make it so that the old save system would update to the new one, which was causing the console to be spammed with errors and causing the mod to not work properly.
Should be fixed now!

It was working for me yesterday with MCM Continued but after rebooting the game it no longer works and the MCM menu for it is blank

@Friend~Chip Done! Figuring out how to utilize MCM's bind feature was a bit tough but it works now!

@The Pink Demon The default bind for controllers is now [RT + LEFT STICK PRESS]. If you have MCM, you can change the bind as desired (though keep in mind MCM does not let you use certain buttons on the controller). Enjoy!

@The Pink Demon That sounds like a fun idea! I may look into creating a challenge in the future as a separate mod. Also good to know about controllers; I will make a default bind for controllers and look into making it re-bindable via MCM.

@yokucasper I love this idea and will look into how to make it happen!

@Mr. Mister I totally agree! It makes sense thematically to have something like this. Perhaps a future mod will include a new rune to do this...

TBH, they should've added a new card, maybe the Uno Reverse Card, that acts like a single use Glowing Hour Glass. They added an item like that for D6 + D20, and one for Red Key, so I don't see why they shouldnt've.

dude, this sounds like a concept ripe for a challenge, where you can collect ctrl+z's from enemies or room clears, and only a chance for them to drop. It just needs a gimmick that makes it so you absolutely need to ctrl-z, like with tainted maggy where youre losing health?
