hi i like the mod and wanted to play again but ran into a problem trying to play it it doesn't bounce normal or chaos
so i went and created a new mod make it bounce added the records from chaos edition in my case but tried normal aswel and build it again
tried extracting directly from the .arz file same result
also noticed chaos light but didn't touch that one
now the bounce i got working
but cata itself doesn't work properly
mastery icons/names are broken and cant click any of them to check further
running latest version of TQA and all dlc's
if any one is able to help me out it would be much appreciated

I use your mod at the steam deck. It runs great but the skill icons arnt visible.

1. Create a folder "gamedata" in the folder where TQRespec.exe is located (if it does not exist).
2. Download and unzip the contents into this folder - https://drive.google.com/file/d/1jAATsnXfnEfbQQ8KUKBvVz39c6qrH1h4/view?usp=sharing

Now TQRespec will work only with skills from the Cataclysm modification. To be able to "work" with the skills of the original game again (first you need to exit the program (close it) if it is running) delete the "gamedata" folder or rename it, for example, to "gamedata1".

Hey, i was wondering if there is a way to make the mod work with TQRespec. I tried several methods. At last i managed that the character from the mod showed up in the TQRespec menu, but i wasn't able to make it so that the skills from the mod show up and reset them.

Ah, that makes perfect sense, actually. Otherwise it'd be clone-ception! Still, this isn't to say I'm not having fun otherwise. I'm experimenting with a Ritualist / Mirror Knight build, and it's pretty cool that the damage reflect aura also works for my demon army. So far so good!

Hi Marf, sorry you had to find out that way. This has been the same in the original TQ with the clone (Dream Image) from the dream mastery. For some reason, the clone doesn't use summon skills. It also doesn't use buffs. I don't know exactly why. I assume it is to stop the clone from cloning itself and creating an army of clones. Unfortunately, that is something I wasn't able to change with modding tools.

To my sadness, I spent some time leveling a Ritualist + Illusionist, hoping that the Clone Self from Illusionist would make my clones summon my demons, greatly increasing my army. They do not cast summons. What a bummer.:ISD_BloodySkull:

Anyone have experience with Vampire/Plaguelord? I would like to choose these but Plaguelord seems very energy intensive. Not sure if they are viable together.

1. The default setting is agressive. The ritualist pets have the same controls as the wolfs from the base game.
2. No. However, feel free to change the mod yourself if you like and merge it with Loop Plus.

1. Is the behavior of the ritualist’s pet primarily defensive? It's cumbersome because you have to control it aggressively every time it starts.
2. Are there any plans to add Loot Plus to the basic mode? Is it just me? If I reconnect for farming, the game ends.

Yes, they do allow for dual wielding. Only the twin fangs skill can proc on throwing weapons though.

The drop table is the same as in the original Titan Quest. As far as I know, there is no legendary item in normal difficulty

both should be downloaded to the steam mod directory and selectable when starting a custom game. the one just titled "cataclysm" without "chaos" is the original one

Specifically it just references InGameUI\Skills\SpiritSkillBackground01.tex and the like. I'm noticing this in general when I mod using Art Manager, references to the base game arcs just aren't showing up in-game for any dbr records I touch :-/

yeah, the reference in the dbr just points to the base game image for the same mastery. The reference path looks good, it just seems somehow that its not knowing how to reference the in game assets. It should just grab those from my Titan Quest folder, no? I'm guessing somehow I have my Art Manager setup incorrectly as its my first time doing this, but I don't know what step I'm missing...

The mod works fine as is, just copying it over and recompiling isn't working out for me :-/

Hi Gilded Fire, I don't have the modding tools on my PC right now to check (new PC) but as far as I remember, I did not specify a different background image for the class tree UI and instead used the original one, which seems to be either missing as a reference in the config of the class or maybe the path points to a wrong directory. The custom assets look fine since the skill images are loading properly. Therefore the problem is most likely a broken reference to the background image.

I then just made some simple tweaks to some of the skills (archangel duration/spawn), and ran Build. I then copy over the resources folder from the workshop folder into my CustomMaps folder, as that was empty. I see the changes I made the the skills succesfully in game, but there's that UI issue that I see above... which also makes me fear the could be other more hidden issues as well.

Any ideas what I'm missing here? Appreciate the help and the time taken to read this 🙂

What I've done so far is this: in the workshop folder I see the database folder, and a resources folder (with custom assets). In my Working\CustomMaps directory I created a new mod, tweakedcataclysm, and copied the database folder over. My Art Manager's Tools/Options is setup with the Working/Build/Tools directory correctly, in Additional Browse Directories I have "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Titan Quest Anniversary Edition, C:\Users\ <REDACTED>\Documents\My Games\Titan Quest - Immortal Throne\Working\". I've also run the install templates command.

Hi! Love your mod! I have a quick question about an issue I'm facing trying to tweak this mod though. I've tried asking the folk in the TQ discord / modding thread, but we haven't been able to figure it out

Specifically the issue is that after re-building, in game I see its missing some assets, specifically the background of the skill tree:

Hello, Acamas! I hope, it's just because there's nothing more to add :) But I hope the bugs and errors will be continued to fix IF such will be found :) Or maybe some skills rebalanced :) But I hope this mode will live in future and continued to develop if such room for it will be found :)

Hi Yokozuna_777, the mod is still supported but there will not be any new features coming. It is, however, open for the community to build on if anyone would like to.

Hi boondog, in theory yes, but it would be quite a lot of work to merge all the files and make sure everything is still running. That's why I won't do it. However, all the database files are included when you download cataclysm. So if you would like to get into modding and merge the mods yourself, feel free to use anything you like.

Hi BloodDemon, technically you can play without the dlc's. However, the Illusionist mastery might not be available since it is hardlocked behind the Ragnarok dlc.

Lonewolf: That happens when you try to load a cataclysm character with another mod. Unfortunately it means your character is bricked and useless from now on.

Anyways, I'm currently running a plaguelord/mirror knight build to see how it works out

Hi @Eldakriel, I'm glad to read you're enjoying the mod. Yes, the Vampire is indeed a little weaker in the early levels. However, it does become very strong with blood rain and especially once you get the life leech going at rank 24.
There are quite a few classed that pair well with the Vampire. I recommend Plaguelord if you would like to double down on bleed and poison. Mirror Knight will give you a lot of survivability. The Gladiator is a good addition if you want to go for full melee damage. With the Rift Walker you could get some more elemental damage going and empower the burn portion of blood rain. Last but not least, the illusionist offers some great mobility and crowd control abilities.
These are probably the most natural fits, but if you take a closer look into the other classes as well, you will find that they all have some nice buffs, passives and active abilities to enhance pretty much any build.

I discover your mod recently and i started blindly with a Vampire.
i have a weak start until i unlock the blood rain & the fire effect because undeads seem immune to bleed.
But now i dont know what 2nd mastery can be good with Vampire. Your classes are very specializd in one type of damage.

Hi LoneWolf, that is defenetely weird. Do only the skillpoints reset or anything else as well? If you ever start the game without selecting the mod, everything skill related is overwritten. If this happened to you, there is unfortunately no fix unless you have a backup of your character save file somewhere.

One issue i have, is that after i quit game and reload, all my skill points are gone and i have to choose class again with no skill points. Any solutions to this?

Hi Tukolp, for Gladiator something close combat focussed, for example Mirror Knight fits very well. You could also use an Illusionist and use clones to deal a lot of damage.
For the Ritualist, the Angel pairs well if you want to play a pet build. If you want to go more into dark magic, the Plaguelord can work well. Also Tidecaller, Tempest and Illusionist make a nice fit for elemental magic and can make good use of the staff related skills from the Ritualist tree.
In general, you can pair any two classes you like. Most of them do have some synergies if you build around them.
The energy reservation is a general challenge in Titan Quest. If you find yourself not having enough energy, you can either spend some attribute points to increase the pool, so you need less energy potions. Or you can get either energy regeneration on gear or increase your intelligence to also passively get more energy regeneration.
