Hi, this is a great mod and all the textures are just awesome, but the texture of the chairs seems to stand out from the vanilla style. It has a thinner outline and more pixelated edges or something like that, and it immediately catches the eye

Saw it mentioned in the comments a few pages back, but if you click something like a door and the choose graphic panel pops up but the previews aren't there, that's something I've had. It's 100% a mod conflict, in my case with the overlap remover for Medieval Overhaul. I needed to use that to use MO since I'm using the rest of the VEF mods, but having that plus this = missing textures on the preview and the debug logger turned into a waterfall of whining about missing textures + the game wouldn't apply the alternate textures.

I don't think it is really something that can be fixed from this side, so if you get that it is probably a similar conflict.

@princ3ssrhys Thank you for confirming that! I came here trying to figure out why it wasn't working, and it was the same issue for me!

I also tested changing the order of the mods, and I found that if I put Worldbuilder first, the variations would be available within Worldbuilder's UI, but it still wouldn't do the variations on the initial build. So I still ended up disabling Worldbuilder to get this mod fully working.
redmammothpanda 19 Aug @ 3:30pm
Hi! figured id let you know which mod but it was the worldbuilder mod! its working now
redmammothpanda 19 Aug @ 1:17pm
thank you for answering! im trying to think of which mods would conflict with it, but thank you for letting me know so i can narrow it down :D absolutely love the mod
Sarg Bjornson  [author] 15 Aug @ 5:19am
You have a mod conflict of some sort
redmammothpanda 15 Aug @ 5:17am
Hi!! i absolutely love this mod and im really clueless when it comes to mods so i figured id ask. The random graphic option isnt showing up anymore despite having it enabled in the mod settings. Im unsure of where it went, disabled a few mods i figured wouldve changed it but it still isnt there :(
Sarg Bjornson  [author] 12 Aug @ 12:24am
Mod options on the VE Framework
Gecko Esti 11 Aug @ 4:46pm
Same idea as Vi7er, is there a way to have by default on the vanilla texture instead of it being random everytime you build something new ? Thank you !
Vi7er_M 9 Aug @ 4:53am
can i make so there will be no random textures, but i could only change them myself
UltraEmailMan 30 Jul @ 1:08am
Nevermind. It's intended functionality by Worldbuilder.
UltraEmailMan 29 Jul @ 11:00pm
Hey Sarg, it seems that Worldbuilder is overwriting or conflicting with this mod. The random graphic and choose graphic buttons weren't showing up and came back after I removed Worldbuilder. I have a pretty hefty modlist right now, so who knows if it's a direct conflict or an interaction with multiple mods, but just wanted to let you know about the possibility.

Yikes
Dragonissa 26 Jul @ 8:15am
Ah fair enough. Only found this and allegedly its intentional

Sarg Bjornson  [author] 26 Jul @ 8:11am
Yes, and they look wrong in base game, too. I'm waiting to see if Ludeon changes it
Dragonissa 26 Jul @ 3:58am
Seems like the way columns are drawn has been changed and they are squished.
Sarg Bjornson  [author] 13 Jul @ 7:01am
No problems reported with this mod. Certainly no "weird" glitches
Verter 13 Jul @ 6:18am
Why I can't use vanilla texture? Or an option to turn off the added textures? I'd love to play with this and furniture expanded mod but it creates shitton of weird texture gliches with on vanilla (I mean no added by mods) production furniture textures with I cannot turn off.
Sarg Bjornson  [author] 6 Jul @ 6:09am
So, this mod conflicts with... itself??
Zippy 4 Jul @ 12:27am
Oh no worries, only for new variations not existing ones, all good!
Sarg Bjornson  [author] 4 Jul @ 12:17am
It's possible, just not what this mod does
Zippy 4 Jul @ 12:09am
Okay, so not possible to make the graphics selectable instead of randomised? Bummer, thanks anyway!
Sarg Bjornson  [author] 3 Jul @ 11:04pm
No, it doesn't have variations, it has randomized graphics. Subtle distinction
Zippy 3 Jul @ 9:20pm
biotech kids decor has no change option despite having multiple variations
Three 10 Jun @ 1:52pm
@Souffrance97~Twitch~: Sure! That's the main idea.
Souffrance97~Twitch~ 10 Jun @ 6:42am
Compatible with : Vanilla Textures Expanded
?
Vanyor 8 Jun @ 7:27pm
Oh I actually found out another way. not sure if vanilla but the leader has the "change style" power so if you use it to set it to the vanilla style, the button shows up again.
Vanyor 8 Jun @ 7:17pm
Hello, thank you for the mod!

I read the FAQ
"Q: I have a furniture item affected by Ideology's styles that doesn't have the "Change Graphic" button
A: This is intended: items affected by a style don't have swappable graphics so both systems don't interfere"
However I would like to know if it's possible to allow it anyway? There are some textures in the style I'm currently using that is too weird.
There is a workaround I found of enabling dev console, removing the style, bulding it, reenabling the style but that's just annoying tbf.
I would love to be able to just one click done. Will it cause too many issues?

In any casa, thank you for the mods!
Sarg Bjornson  [author] 9 May @ 11:02pm
No, force Steam to grab the latest version. Verifying file integrity *usually* works.
Skullito 9 May @ 3:24pm
Sooo if the Framework is outdated, what we should do?
Waiting for the update of the main Vanilla frame?
Sarg Bjornson  [author] 9 May @ 4:17am
v2.03:

- Added support for the new wardrobes and desk lamps in Vanilla Furniture Expanded
- Tweaked code in the VE Framework so that variations can have their own label on mouse over, instead of just displaying the image path
- Added useSouthOrientation to the comp properties in the VE Framework so modders can choose individual items to show the south view (it's north by default)

If you get red errors, your Framework is outdated
Sarg Bjornson  [author] 8 May @ 10:55pm
Maybe, no idea
Deankiller Turnupseed 8 May @ 9:10pm
rimsort says its incomp with quality of building?
✯.Octarin.✯ 8 May @ 1:39pm
Looking forward to it ^^
Sarg Bjornson  [author] 8 May @ 11:38am
Yes
✯.Octarin.✯ 8 May @ 11:00am
So I take it there's gonna be an update here soon too?
Sarg Bjornson  [author] 23 Apr @ 2:06am
Not without risking breaking everything, like any other mod
El lobo 23 Apr @ 1:52am
Is it safe to remove during a playtrough? It seems to conflict with some of my other mods, as some textures appear twice the size.
Sarg Bjornson  [author] 1 Apr @ 2:41am
No, but all the mod is available at the VE Github!
GVLT 1 Apr @ 1:56am
Is there any documentation available on adding the system to my mod?
Sarg Bjornson  [author] 31 Mar @ 11:13pm
No, different systems completely
GVLT 31 Mar @ 5:24pm
Hi, will this add graphic select gizmo to any thing with Graphic_Random property? If not, what should I add to make it appear?
Sarg Bjornson  [author] 22 Mar @ 7:00am
Likely
ambient_npc_manager 22 Mar @ 6:19am
it seems like all storage furniture (Drawer, shelf, etc) does not work for me, as in attempting to switch to another variant will do nothing. this is probably a mod conflict with something like adaptive storage, but i dunno.
Sarg Bjornson  [author] 12 Mar @ 12:05pm
No, sorry. We don't support mods that modify the size of base game items, that's a HUGE faux pas
Diabético_X 12 Mar @ 11:44am
Please, this mod has to have at least the option to turn off some textures. I use Neat Storage mod, and the textile rack gets really ugly when using both mods together. Please please please allow us to turn of some textures. I really like both mods.
Fox of Despair 2 Feb @ 3:56am
Доброго дня, мод плохо совместим с Medieval Overhaul
Stupid Sexy Rat 20 Dec, 2024 @ 7:21am
ah understandable, its not that big of a deal to me. the rest of the mod is awesome. thanks for the work you do.
Sarg Bjornson  [author] 20 Dec, 2024 @ 7:03am
No compatibility with ANY mod that changes the sizes of vanilla items, it's just the way it is
Stupid Sexy Rat 20 Dec, 2024 @ 6:59am
they do work but look bad
