Truthfully I have no idea, I haven't opened this game in a while. Judging by the amount of current subscribers I'd assume that it works.
There was something in the latest changelogs about a rework in modded GUI elements, which could affect this mod because a checkbox should show up in the bottom of your screen to enable and disable the lockpicking action.

is this still working? can seem to get it to work, nothing happens when crouching and staying still with a lockpick in your inventory?

You cant lockpick cuffs

The lockpicks don't open doors and hatches at all.

The hairpin can not. The lockpick can open anything a crowbar can.
