All right, I've got a bit working in terms of the factions and the like but I'm really only just learning. I'm leaving it unlisted until I get it cleaned and good to go. I've been pulling the files from a few other race mods I use since I liked how they do this or that. But, leaving it unlisted for the moment until I can see for certain whether or not the factions are working , as in raids, caravans, etc.

Nope, no real lore. The whole motivation behind them was just "I want scalies/bugs in my Rimworld", heh.

Gotcha, thanks. I mean at most all I'd be doing is hackwork to keep it working. By all means the mod itself is fine , the one it depends on.. Not so much. So far all I've done was repopulated the pawnkinds list (I saw the legacy had it in what seems a simple, non thematic way). Query, then. Do you have any over-arching background lore to your races? Else, we can kick some up for the scenarios, pawnkinds, etc

Is this mod still being maintained? With Pawnkind Race Diversification becoming discontinued and causing more problems I've made a personal copy that works independently of PRD, adds player and other factions (As well as a silly faction icon) among other small changes.

@ShadowHanD Many months late, but the 'human' thing has been pointed to the Pawnkind Race Diversification and it *seems* the race doesn't have any of the usual things like "Colonist", "Soldier", "Guard", etc. So I'm *guessing* that some mods have trouble adding something to a list with no sub-entries like that. I'm personally unable to use Character Editor to make someone a Klickmala, nor can I use the dev spawn menu to do so since they have none of these I'm guessing. -- But back to it, the PRD mod was reported to (And confirmed on my own save) to make everything show up as "human" needlessly as well as other problems. Like the Androids mod *really* not liking what PRD does.

The "Children, school, and learning" mod does not seem to recognize this as a valid race upon childbirth (between two klickmalas). I was given the option for slither and ikquan. Also clicking a klickmala colonist says "(fe)male human aged xx" on the main tab, but the health tab says klickmala. Here is an image: https://imgur.com/a/TxYSHTF

Thanks, I don't want to trouble you further if it doesn't come from your own mod, though I appreciate the offer :) I'm currently encountering tons of other problems (eating doesn't refill food, for instance, or butchering being an infinite loop with no meat yield, stuff like that) and I think I'm just gonna play something else while more mods are patched, and come back in a few months XD

I tried downloading Prepare Carefully and messed around with saving and loading some presets for a bit, but I can't recreate the issue. It's likely a load order problem or a third mod causing an incompatibility. I'll take a look at a hugslib log if you want to post it, but my ability to troubleshoot further is limited.

Thanks for your reply, I created a new, simpler preset from scratch and the Klickmalas have the same issue. I didn't see anything on the humans, then again my test preset has fewer on them, and on the large one I was trying to use not all of them had the issue, so it might have something to do with the sample size, or maybe some haircuts. Either way it seems to show that the problem doesn't come from my original preset.

I don't know how Prepare Carefully does its thing, but if you're using a preset you made with the Legacy version, it might be trying to load pawnkinds (or something else?) from the legacy version that no longer exist?

I recommend testing to see if the problem still occurs if you create a new preset, then load it.

(I had to skip some details for brevity's sake, but I have screenshots at your disposal, and the log though I don't fully understand it. Additionally I don't have Royalty, I have a LOT of other mods I couldn't possibly list here, and it was my first time successfully loading the game since 1.3 release, as some mods were breaking it and it took time finding which ones and/or for the patches to come out)

Switching to this from Legacy. I create a new save & load a Prepare Carefully preset with ALL my favorite pawns in it (including a handful of Klickmalas, that was I ready to ditch/remake with the new mod... but not the other pawns and all their relationships). When Klickmalas are generated by the game, they look fine. But if I open Prepare Carefully and load my saved preset, the Klickmalas' head & sometimes body disappear (the antennae & neck remain) and I can't click on the drop down menu to change their body/clothes. Worse, it ALSO applies to humans saved in the same preset. Some have no heads, some have no heads & no bodies, AND they have antennae and/or necks. I can change their style of antennae, but can't fully disable their Klickmala features (RimHUD ?). Every reload has different humans hit by that bug (once it's Cait, then it's Wald).
I was tempted to go back to Legacy (they were my first race mod ever). But it has issues too. Thank you so much if you can help me.

Sorry for the late reply. What Vox Aegis said is what I've been suspecting, too. I'll try to troubleshoot it a bit at some point, but it's most likely not something I can fix on my end.

Seems to be a side-effect of Pawnkind Race Diversification. If you have races from other mods that are spawned through PRD, they also show up as 'human' in the info panel. So the problem is most likely on their end.

any idea why characters of this race show as "human" in the bottom left menu? some of my races say their proper alien race while half of them say "Female/Male Human", including all of the ones from you

Following up on the blindness problem / adding the option to remove antennae, the solution has turned out to be more complex than I expected (needs C# assemblies, which I'm only a little familiar with), so it's going to take longer than I expected to get working. It's on my to-do list, and I'll get to it when I can!

Here is a problem that is not a problem. Because antennae is also a part of visual ability, blind rituals cannot turn them into blind people. In fact, this is even a good thing in vanilla games, but not being blind means that you can't get the special bonus for blind people in some mods. And there is no surgery to remove the antennae. . . So is it possible to add an antennae removal operation?

Thanks for updating it to 1.3, even if you didn't feel particularly interested in doing so so soon! My appropriately-named Crappy Lappy is dying completely so it might be a while before I can check out Ideology, but my idea of a Queen-worshipping, aggressive Hive would not work the same without bugmen. The Klickmalas are definitely one of the best looking custom races, IMO. :avoid:

Well, due to unforeseen circumstances, "eventually" turned into "today". There are still some kinks relating to hairstyles to work out, but Klickmala (and my other two races) now function in 1.3.

Eventually, maybe? 1.3 blindsided me, and there's more than I expected than needs updating. Plus, honestly, I've been less interested in maintaining these mods and have been happily playing 1.3 without my races, so it's a low priority. I might look at bringing Slithers, Ikquans, and Klickmala into 1.3 after HAR has finished working out some of the remaining kinks and released clearer information on how to update. No promises.

Very nice race mods, for some reason i would like a race based on a worm (like your pfp, kinda.)

@Beelzebelt: thank you, i think the other mods in question like revia and naga also weren't compatible with pawnkind race diversification but your instructions pointed me in the right direction and i think i have all the weights how i want them, :steamthumbsup:

@opbrotatos: It appears the Human pawn weight in Pawnkind Race Diversification is slightly lower than I thought. I will adjust my races' defaults.

You can also adjust race weights yourself however you like: look for Pawnkind Race Diversification in Mod Settings, show Global Weight Settings (or World Weight Settings if playing an existing world), uncheck "Prev Adjusted", and adjust the numbers to your liking.

not sure if it's an issue with a conflicting mod (console appears fine) but the klickmala pawns are replacing a good 80% of the other pawns in my character creator, i only occasionally get humans and because of weighting, other less common races like the naga just don't show up at all, is this likely a conflict or is this a mod setting?
