There's a few inaccuracies:
-Those tiles around the Great Australian Bite should be desert, as that's where the Nullabore (no trees) Plain is.
-Large portions what you made desert are in fact plains, scrublands and savannahs.

This map looks good apart from that. (FYI: Australia mainly exports in coal. Oil, not so much).

It would nice if you could have added some of the small island north of Australia such as Komoto island. New Zealand to

Keep the large map up and upload the huge one seperately, so those of us who can't run Huge maps can still play.
alan_buchbach 18. apr. 2014 kl. 20:37
Too much desert in the Cooper Basin, most of that should be plains with minor grassland (particularly in the channel country in QLD) .

And put in way more hills!
Charlie 18. apr. 2014 kl. 7:07
Also blend the different landscapes together a bit more, so you get the odd desert and grassland tiles in plains, and the odd plains in the desert etc...
Clone755 18. apr. 2014 kl. 6:17
Finally a map thats at a decent size of Straya'
Mzwaga Umgungunalovdu 18. apr. 2014 kl. 4:58
Great map but you should change the northwest desert that is bordering the ocean to plains. Just a tip
Dingledorf 18. apr. 2014 kl. 4:50
how did you make this?
Sendos 18. apr. 2014 kl. 4:25
Very nice map of Australia. Few things to note:
- change a fair bit of the desert area next to existing plains areas into plains. Might also need to check carefully on the NW desert. I'd recommend plains, or better add rivers there.
- Add Murray and Darling Rivers. And some lakes if you can.
- add lots of iron, horse, uranium, cattle and sheep resources. And lots of bananas in QLD.
- Move great barrier reef and atolls 1-2 tiles closer to shore so they can be utilized.
- List of actual LR's in Australia: cotton, citrus, gold, copper, crab, pearls (opals) and sugar to name a few.
- Add some jungle across northern Australia (NT and QLD). And maybe even 1-2 jungle tiles in Tasmania.

Other than that, it's great. Keep it up.
Alec_the_Great 18. apr. 2014 kl. 4:00
Needs some work, but I'd happily play this map. Keep it up!
Alec_the_Great 18. apr. 2014 kl. 3:32
Gotta have lots of barbarians/Aboriginals spawning.
OncewasDragon 18. apr. 2014 kl. 2:41
I think you placed Uluru a little to far south and to the west, it's actually pretty central from what I remember. also way too much desert in the east.
No name, cant be stuffed 4 one 18. apr. 2014 kl. 2:10
Australia has the largest amount of Uranium on the planet. We also have a major amount of Ore. So there should be lots.
Love the idea of kangaroos.
Fraser Family 18. apr. 2014 kl. 0:44
I hope there's lots of uranium. Espically in the Ranger mine area.
snowman1989 17. apr. 2014 kl. 19:00
I know the northern tip of Queensland and maybe aound Darwin should be jungle. You may also consider adding more plains in the east where you have desert in the Murray-Darling Basin. And where's the Great Barrier Reef?
DerekDMR762 17. apr. 2014 kl. 18:26
can we get kangaroo luxury resources such as baby kangaroo skin condoms?
koomorang 17. apr. 2014 kl. 16:28
maybe just try to do random resources?
Hayden345 17. apr. 2014 kl. 14:29
To repeat what others have said, it needs for ores and uranium in particular. Australia is one of the worlds largest uranium exporters, and this map should reflect that.
Wolfie 17. apr. 2014 kl. 13:51
the basic shape is good, but yes way too much desert, and the great dividing range is totallly wrong. also i know it would be hard to replicate in the game but the barrier reef goes down 1/3 of queensland . its a good start mate.
Also resources Australia is an exporter to the US for Oil and Uranium, so you need to add in more of those, oil is off the coast slightly, Uranium is all through that desert. plus northern queensland is heavy with coal, and northern WA is heavy with all the ore types.
Good luck dude and again nice work so far
goldenfiberwheat238 17. apr. 2014 kl. 13:12
i know austrailia has no oil or coal or unrainium but as a civ map without those how are you supposed to play that?
I Juant to Die 17. apr. 2014 kl. 10:19
what have you done? now we will always spawn on the one continent we don't want to spawn on!
Warwick🐺 17. apr. 2014 kl. 10:17
Way too much deserts. Australia has a ton of plains, it ain't all desert.
Bomail 17. apr. 2014 kl. 2:31
Oh, also, South Australia has a shiteload of Uranium, Central Northern Territory has alluminium in it. The victorian and new south wales gold fields are completely missing. Couldn't see any copper or silver out where mount morgan is/was. Basically, good attempt, needs some work.
Bomail 17. apr. 2014 kl. 2:29
So you've made things like the darling downs a desert when it's a plain, you have completely missed the largest river system in australia, the Murray, and you've made it WAY too much desert. Also up towards broome and along the north western coast is more plains than desert.
Kouga 17. apr. 2014 kl. 0:18
Here's my criticism: Go back to map editor, look at all the options and try again. Does ite ven have a river? Maybe try to toss abit of realism over board and think about game mechanics too.. You can make a map for Civ 5, but if it's tottaly crap to play, then it's like buying swimming pants when you hate to swim.
KDA does not define me 17. apr. 2014 kl. 0:18
lineadow it would be great if you could create a larger scale of this map that could fit multiple civs:medicon:
DIY Miracle 15. apr. 2014 kl. 22:50
There's more green in parts of the middle.
It would look a heap better if you had the major rivers and some random scattered ones throughout the north coast.
There's a bit to much desert. I've been to some of those places like the Simpson desert and they're closer to a plains than a desert such as you've represented.
Honestly I couldn't do much better though.
Lemsta.au 15. apr. 2014 kl. 16:58
cool
Hero_Uki  [ophavsmand] 14. apr. 2014 kl. 19:03
@Brightonboy68
It does have Uluru, as well as The Great Barrier Reef.

@Tdgeorge2
I was thinking of putting up a 'huge' scale of it in the near future.

@Kim Jong Un
There are resouces. I decided to not show them in the preview.
brightonboy68 14. apr. 2014 kl. 7:13
does it have Uluru or has that not been added
