i guess its a problem with another mod, problem is, i have 400+ mods installed :D May take a while to find out whats going on.

- I literally just loaded my game with the basic requirement mods, this one, and FF Animals, and got no errors at all.

Resubscribed to both, error is still there :( Btw Cat Overhaul works fine also the Hairstyles 1 and 2.

- that shouldn't be happening. I dont get those errors on my game. Resubscribe to both mods to force steam to update them.

i got an error from this mod :(

XML error: <wildness>0.45</wildness> doesn't correspond to any field in type RaceProperties. Context: <race><renderTree>Animal</renderTree>

Can I request that the body size stat of these cool little dudes get buffed to something above or at 1.2? That should allow giddy-up 2 to function better? It says everything is too heavy, which I'm starting to think is based on body size.

FUCK, why do they have 45% wildness? They're hardly encountered in caravans and on top of that they need a animal handler to prevent them from running wild?! :HighAggro::steamsalty:

- Weird. I don't use Giddy Up anymore but last time I did they worked fine as mounts O.o

Hey Erin. Here are links to some screen shots showing the "Cannot Mount: Too Heavy" text both in the open world and when trying to form a caravan. I also made sure Palamutes are selected as mountable in the Giddy Up mode.

I'm getting the error when trying to use my Palamute as a mount that is something like "Too Heavy." Any idea?

I figured it out! So by default they are not mounts. In the mod options of Giddy-up 2 you need to set them as mounts and then it works.

I'm having trouble with palamutes as mounts. I have Giddy-up 2 and riding gear from Animal Equipment but they still don't show as mountable in the colony or for caravans. Is there something I am missing? Or did I discover an incompatibility?

You may not be able to pet them, exactly, but you can play fetch and stuff with them if you use the mod Animals Are Fun:

Gah, I'm so sorry. I meant to post this on the other mod. :( Someone made some nice collars for dogs, and it supports palamutes, which is what I thought I was commenting on >_<;

When Erin's Palamutes put on their shield colors, their nose disappears :( I thought it was because I was using my own custom colors, but it's doing this on Erin's colors as well:

any chance of a palico race mod? I think they'd fit better as a humanoid race than an animal since they're sentient. closest thing we have is the housekeeper cats and having them running around with my palamutes gave me such a lightbulb for a palico mod

Ah, well changing their trader rarity wouldn't matter for me - I don't really have traders as I said - so I wouldn't notice a change if there was. Thanks for the consideration though.

@IceMaverick - As an actual player of Monster Hunter Rise, it doesn't feel right to have them spawn in the wild. They're domesticated canynes - you don't see huskies and labradors in the wild, do you?

I don't intend to change the fact that they are only available from traders. I wish I could make them more common from traders, but I don't think that's a thing. Apologies.

Any chance of a toggle-option or perhaps a separate patch mod that allows these to spawn in the wild in reasonable biomes? I'd like to use them, but traders are rarely even a part of my colonies so I'd probably never see these if they didn't spawn natively.

@Erin - It's not too hard, mostly you copy some of the husky def. XML files and adjust them so it refers to your animal instead. If you'd like to learn I can help :)
