i hope one day this gets updated, this is one of the best avali mods in my opinion

Remember to take care of yourself too mate, and good luck. I'd probably just play around and see if there could be anything to report.

Yes, the perpetual state of dying seems to be going on for a while yet. My life has been extremely hectic as of late. I will start working on updating this for 1.3 once things calm down. I think there could definitely be some interesting interactions between this mod and Ideology as well.

Hi, random person here who like adding too many racemods, I've noticed the many different avali mods here, and Eriss's/Ksisa's version being outdated and dying, its nice to see someone picking it up, but I reckon that its pretty hard for you to do so since this doesnt seem to get any spotlight and help. I dont have any coding experience so the best i can do is only saying goodluck, testing it, or just suggesting to get help from perhaps someone else like perhaps Mlie. But i'd like to help in anyway i can i suppose.

Existing race check only checked pawn.def, not pawn.def.race. New check fixes this. I believe the non-avali packmate bug should be fixed. Do let me know if it somehow still happens.

I see your point, Turtle. Might have to change how it works some for better mod interoperatability.

Was the Bio, Social and Log tabs breaking due to an avali having packmates who are non-avali, was fixed then, because thats been a major issue that everyone has been having for the longest time.

Well, there are things they should need to be able to wear, like nuclear hazmat suits from the Rimatomics Mod.

I should be more specific. Yeah, I agree, making the secret techniques of beanbag sewing should be available to not just avali. The high-tech stuff will remain as is.

Avali will not be enabled to wear human clothes beyond what is already possible.

You misunderstand. The Avali-only clothing should be only for Avalis, but they should also be able to wear "normal" clothing. I was talking about the stupid restriction where, once researching an Avali technology, no one else can build it.

Avali technology includes beanbag chairs and cushions. BEANBAG CHAIRS AND CUSHIONS.

The way I would do it is as follows:

1. Only Avalis can wear Avali clothes and gear. Avalis can wear normal clothes and gear, but non-Avalis cannot wear Avali clothes and gear.

2. Only Avalis can RESEARCH Avali technology. Once an Avali technology, anyone can build it.

Avalis are already dramatically unique: their temperature tolerance and need for a Life Support Belt makes them a lot different. Their unique armor and such will also set them apart. There is no need to make their furniture, once it is researched , an exclusive deal.

I might look into being more selective about which race can do what, so just keep nanolathe etc. avali only, and only allow them to use these workbenches.

Avali should be able to wear hats. Idea is that normal clothing is too big for them to be practical to use. I may look into just making it cause debuffs instead - large clothes making them stumble around, but really, that might just be inconvenient to micromanage.
I don't intend on just flat out enabling clothing to be non-race dependent. My philosophy going into this is making avali and human feel very distinct (yet hopefully around equal in power, there is some balancing work to be done on this though), and I feel clothing being a non-factor would take away from this. I'm not against the idea of a mod setting to toggle this, but I don't want to spend time on implementing that either, sorry.

I have fixed some of the issues that the old version had already. I don't have a proper testing environment set up for the code at this point, so I'm not 100% on whether the bugs I think I've fixed really are. The github readme lists the specific fixes. Things will be a bit slow right now due to exams though.

I don't understand how a colony with Avalis present cannot build Avali Furniture.

"Oh no, I can't build a beanbag chair because I am human."

Will there also be a way to let them wear normal Humanoid Apparel?

I remember downloading these in "Stellaris"!

Good to know someone has picked this up, but will you be able to solve the issues and errors the previous versions of this have had?
