would be nice if you included the fact that more than standard game is needed. maybe people who know this game in depth know which leaders come with what, but there are so many its hard to keep track of. disappointing to go into the game to start setup just to figure out i don't have what I need because you didn't preface it

If you could add China to the location of YI TI(the golden country in the East Essos), it would be the best map I have ever played

Large Westeros is my favorite Westeros map so far.
Love the attention to details by the map creater(s?), such as Winterfell is built on top of a hot spring, the Wall does not go past west of Shadow Tower, the perfect spot for the Bloody Gate west of Eyrie, etc.
Well made.

Darn I was looking for a Westeros map... so this mod isn't working? I wonder if the author could get it working again and update, now that there are new leaders may want the alternate Arab Personality and/or alternate Mali Leader and/or alternate Persia Leader... though there are still the alternate Norway Personality and alternate England Personality & Leader and alternate Byz Leader and alternate Germany Leader yet to come.

But would be nice to play this map in general... maybe other changes you might make based on new information from the new House of the Dragon show.

I used a file editor to remove all the sea level flood zones from the map, river flood plains are different

Also, btw, just wanted to say, your large Westeros map is incredible. Very large, fun, and extremely accurate to the Book Maps. Really enjoying my Dorne game right now. ;) Am quite excited to try the "Known World" map next

Wouldn't messing with the map in the worldbuilder mess with the flooding tiles and stuff though? I've always had that experience in the past. But maybe they fixed it idk. I was surprised your mod had floodplains on the rivers. Usually worldbuilder maps can't have them. So maybe it is fixed. I'll have to check it out.

Yeah I don’t really know how tsl works in situations like that. You could use an ingame map editor to change things after the game starts

Yeah I tried playing without Byzantium, but the game get kind of weird. It forces someone to own King's Landing, so it chooses one of civs with TSL and gives them a second capital there. I tried playing with Rome instead to see if they would fill the spot, but they spawned randomly into the Vale, meanwhile Poland took control of King's Landing (on top of their other city at the Dreadfort).

After some testing, I discovered it's always the 4th civ slot (not counting the player slot) in the game creation menu that gets allotted the King's Landing city. Tried it with Poland 3 times. Poland each time. So then I gave Poland's slot to the Cree, and now the Cree own King's Landing in my current test. So it's always the 4th slot in the civ selection menu - again, not including the player slot. So I guess the wildlings own king's landing. Whatever lol. At least the game is still playable I guess.

Heyyo amazing map, but uh, what if we don't have new frontier pass? Could I edit the map file to replace Byzantium with someone else?

I only found Uranium behind the wall, on the Western Shore (Snow), it's not enough for all of the players (Only 5 sources of it).
Lord Bubba 11 Aug, 2021 @ 10:23am
Well, you could call it Wildfire. It's green in color and is extremely combustible. The only issue I have is that the distribution of the resource itself shows up on top of already established resources like niter, iron, cooper, etc. Just thought I'd ask.
BOX  [author] 11 Aug, 2021 @ 7:40am
I tried to place strategic resources in a balanced, not realistic, way. I didn’t want some players haveing access uranium and others not. Also there is no information on the distribution of uranium in Westeros and Essos so I just placed it wherever
Lord Bubba 10 Aug, 2021 @ 12:09pm
You've got uranium all over the place. Any reason why? I mean uranium is supposed to be a very rare element.

I probably won't extend the second map rn because that would likely require starting the map over again. I decided not to add tsl because there are only about ~50 known place names and that would feel pretty incomplete on maps with thousands of tiles. The Dreadfort is about 10-15 tiles east of winterfell, if you have poland in the game.
Tactical JR 15 May, 2021 @ 11:39pm
Also where is the dreadfort?
Tactical JR 15 May, 2021 @ 11:38pm
It may be difficult, but having TSL or named cities would be nice. E.g. if I settle a new town near greywater watch, it'd be named Moat Cailin for example
Tactical JR 15 May, 2021 @ 11:31pm
Also this is a pretty cool map, still playing as Russia (Starks) on the first 20 turns. I'm abit OCD but it would be good if the names for towns/cities were in CamelCase and not all UPPERCASE (e.g. Winterfell instead of WINTERFELL)
Tactical JR 15 May, 2021 @ 10:45pm
Can you make the second map more bigger? It's only up to 90 tiles wide, I'm sure you can make it wider
Hendricus 7 May, 2021 @ 9:24am
Tried enormous and there I could increase the number to 25. Seems to work.
BOX  [author] 7 May, 2021 @ 6:43am
Hmmm I can add up to 40 on a huge map, maybe I changed some game files and forgot about it
Hendricus 7 May, 2021 @ 3:22am
25 city states on a huge map ? Seems 24 is the max.
