Cathymb1, It will be way more effective at sinking ships when we get the weapons DLC!

Kirbcake, I ran some tests and the only way I was able to get that kind of heating was to completely disable the coolant system on the engines. Double check to make sure the small pumps immediately forward of the engines are connected to the power grid and activated by the pump keys. I'm not sure how these would have come disconnected(I double checked the version I have loaded on the workshop and the pumps are working there) but this is basically the only way I could get the engines to heat up like that.

ima sink some rescue boats

100+ in about a minute.
SciFiDeepdive  [author] 12 May, 2021 @ 2:02pm
Kirbcake, How hot are they getting for you? I cant seem to get them to spike any higher than 40 degrees.
kirb 12 May, 2021 @ 12:29pm
oh lol, I had a retard moment there it seems. But yeah, even if the diesel engine is for the generators, even with the pump keys on it still seems to overheat.
SciFiDeepdive  [author] 12 May, 2021 @ 12:28pm
Kirbcake, Ah, the Diesel Engines are hooked up to electric generators so they basically just recharge the batteries. Advancing the Electric Motor Throttle should get the sub moving. As for the overheating issues, make sure the key below the engine started is activated, that starts the coolant and fuel pumps.

Thank you! Ya, I plan on hopefully adding some explosives when they become available so the weapons can actually do some damage.
kirb 12 May, 2021 @ 6:36am
Other than that, I LOVE this sub. It would 100% be my favorite ever if the torpedoes could hit hard enough to do damage.
kirb 12 May, 2021 @ 6:35am
They seem to just not do anything. You can start em, but they don't propel the sub whatsoever. I also noticed they seem to have overheat issues.
SciFiDeepdive  [author] 12 May, 2021 @ 1:56am
Kirbcake, What seems to be the issue with them?
SciFiDeepdive  [author] 12 May, 2021 @ 1:56am
Captain_Buki_721, Thank You!
kirb 11 May, 2021 @ 6:32pm
The diesel engines are broken...

Amazing sub!

The next ship you should do is Poseidon 2006 then do Poseidon 2005
SciFiDeepdive  [author] 6 May, 2021 @ 4:42pm
Armin-Arlert, That would make sense. Thank you!

DientjeGamer, Pleased to here Executive Officer Arkhipov is proud!
Live Fish Scout Reaction 6 May, 2021 @ 12:21pm
Yeah, I tried pitching up but I couldnt, Im assuming its because the game glitched some blocks under the sea floor. Still a great sub though!
SierraFox 6 May, 2021 @ 4:44am
Glorious work comrade ! Thanks for adding another vessel to the fleet !

Armin-Arlert, The compact pumps on the sub have trouble at higher pressures. I recommend pushing the electric motor throttle all the way forward and using the bow and stern planes to climb to a higher depth. Ballast tanks work best at less than 10m.
Live Fish Scout Reaction 5 May, 2021 @ 2:33pm
I think i know what happened.
I slightly glitched under the seabed (very bottom) and the pumps can not get water through those ports as they are blocked.
Live Fish Scout Reaction 5 May, 2021 @ 1:43pm
Im currently at -74 meters stuck to the ocean floor, ballast pumps wont pump out the ballast. Any idea why?

AK_TO_THE_N20, Thanks! I've made plenty of surface vessels in the past, many of which had flashlights stored on board and never once did I think of connecting it up with the electricity to charge it. Thank you so much for the tip! As for larger projects, Any larger subs in the works are on hold until we get nuclear reactors.

Not enough Stalins.
