- Vehicle weight and engine power are adjusted to realistic level.
- Fuel amount is doubled.
- Increased wing surface area.
- Added decorative "ropes".
- Added blip throttle mode.
- Updated SPECIFICATIONS section in the description.
- Added weapons
- Removed neutral prop pitch behavior on ground when parking brake on
- Added extra fuel tank above top wing that represents gravity-fed fuel tank in the real one.
- Upgraded engine with supercharged intake (Max speed is increased by 22%, max range is increased by 55%)
Range and speed are increased around 15-20%.
Total mass is slightly (15 mass) higher now.
Maneuverability and gliding is improved.
Airco DH.1A is easier to land than this because of its bigger wings.
@Elitely,
Which movie?
It's usually called radial engine in Stormworks when there are 4 cylinders around one crankshaft.
Also, difference in performance seems not very high, actually I couldn't test precisely because when changing prop pitch and gearbox accordingly, RPM changes a lot which is also interesting.
Current configuration serves better so I don't change because;
1. Higher RPM during takeoff where more power required
2. Lower RPM during cruise where fuel efficiency required
3. Also no place for another gearbox
So it's fixed?
I now tried, thus, behavior turns back to normal when having positive prop pitch with negative gearbox.
True. My interest on WW1 planes increased recently and I'm planning to modify them with weapons when DLC come out. For multiplayer performance I'm not using many sub-bodies because when Weapons DLC come out, multiplayer may be more crowded.
