There is an alternate updated for Apex. Just search Ore Detectors.

Just adding that it does not work with the new Apex skin,

I had the same problem when I started a new world until I moved the mod to the top. Something else I loaded was overriding it. Tried switching from online to offline and grinding and replacing a small block ore detector, to no effect.

It's BUGGED AS FUCK

This mod is now broken and catastrophically lags even my computer for absolutely no reason, along with binding itself to a world I'm playing so I can't get rid of it even if I turn off the mod and unsubscribe from the mod.

Don't know if was just a coincidence, but it wasn't working until I changed my world from offline to private. Might be a problem with the mod trying to share to other players but cannot due to being offline.

Yes. I also have a problem with this mod. turned off the ore detector, ore markers do not disappear. I noticed that new ore deposits are also visible when the character moves. It’s as if the mod attached a manual ore detector that cannot be turned off. There are a lot of them due to the distance. not recommended on a weak computer

Confirmed at this date, it's definitely a conflict with "Animated Ore Detectors"

there is something wrong with this mod where when I turn off the ore detector all of the ores in the area stay lit up as if it were on until I relog in/out of the game which as you can imagine is unreasonable.

Yup, its the animated ore detector mod interfering. Turn it off and works perfect.

Have the people reporting that it is not working tested the mod by itself?
I recently experienced this mod not working when using "Animated Ore Detectors" at the same time.

-Experimental mode enabled (I know since I run multiple mods)
-Mod at the top of loaded list
-Broke and remade the ore scanner

Still capped.
Any more ideas to troubleshoot?

I will try the trick of "NSA", but I doubt it will help : At first, the mod seems to work fine, I installed it on a multiplayer server.
But now, the ore detecting system is not working anymore, I'm speaking of the WHOLE ORE DETECTING SYSTEM, not only the mod.
I uninstalled it... and still no ore detection anymore...........................................

This mod works just fine.

I had some problems getting the mod to work, and since the "Mod doesn't work", "The mod works" discussion wasn't as helpful as one might assume. Here are the steps I took.

Subscribe to the mod, then launch the game. In Options/Game enable Experimental Mode and possibly GDPR and Mod.Io (don't know if they are required, I had them on already).
Don't use Continue, use Load Game. Select your save and choose edit settings. There should be a "Mods" button, next to the "Advanced" button, which allows you to activate and deactivate mods in your save.

This mod only raises the maximum allowed distance of the detectors. You need to manually set the upper limit in the block settings. Can't say anything about the load order, since this is the only mod I have in the game.

Just loaded up a vanilla game and added only this mod, after landing on earth-like, i turned the ore detector in the survival pod up to 600 meter and it detected iron 535 meters away. So it seems to work just fine?

Downloaded and installed into Vanilla. Works fine. Now the game makes sense again. Could not find any Uranium until this mod. Was ranting already and thinking about putting the game away.

Suddenly I instantly find Uranium.

Sounds almost too good as if the mod places that stuff.
