Love this, the game looks so much better now! Does anyone know if there's a fully updated version for 1.4.4.9?

It's a stretch to call these HD, but it's nice for anyone that doesn't want the pixel look.

@Xyvrianeth "I downloaded the tools over at https://forums.terraria.org/index.php?threads/hq2x-and-other-image-filter-packs.51557/ near the bottom of the main post it has "new resize scripts". it was a major pain in the ass though to get some of the prerequisite tools as in the readme. I found windows 10 didn't support the old XNA framework so I had to do a bit of a hack job by decompressing the installer and installing certain components manualy.

It may be worth googling around and trying to find a better script, but I found this one worked really well when you finally get it all set up. If you are unable to sort any of it out just give me a nod and I can run it through the resizer for you because it really doesn't take :happypug:" - skeletor.

Yeah this just looks like you opened a .png in MS Paint, doubled the image resolution, saved it, then called it a day. This "HD" upscale still maintains the edges and corners caused by the lower pixel density of the default assets and it's very apparent no actual work went into this and, quite frankly, it looks like shit.

but once you do, you cant unsee it

I would like some real AI upscaling. By that I mean using neural networks to upscale Terraria sprites to probably make them look like monsters instead of pixel art upscaling techniques such as xBRZ.

personally I think it's pretty nice having upscaled textures. I found this/updated this mostly for my gf because the pixelated sprites give her headaches!

what do you mean ugly and blurry? is there an issue with it? unless you're playing at low resolution with 200% zoom it won't be blurry, it'll be pretty sharp.

huh that's strange. all I can really suggest is that you try disabling it, restart, enable it, restart and try it again.

I enabled the mod ingame, exit and restart, then i see fonts look higher quality but ingame everything is same low resolution.
