UPDATE
TurtleShroom 23 Jun, 2022 @ 3:51pm
I miss this Mod.
Phoenix Nebula 10 Feb, 2022 @ 8:48am
the culture part of this mod is kind of pointless with the new update however I still like the custom faith so it would still be cool if this mod got updated.
bees 7 Nov, 2021 @ 4:13pm
yeah, I'm having the exact same issue as that
brandon.hiraeth 29 Oct, 2021 @ 6:10am
So I don'r know for suer if it's this mod but so far it's the only one I can trace it back to, but currently every king is called a Konungar, kingdoms EVERYWHERE are called Konungariki, my earls are all called Mervuru. I'm cornish, not norse or indian.
Canadian Lemur 27 Sep, 2021 @ 5:27pm
Hi, I have made a mod similar to this for the Norse in Africa, it can be found here,
https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2613311140
@Seine Eloquenz if you would like to cooperate or take the project off my hands let me know, because It is just something i whipped up for a campaign I am playing right now, there is not as much work put into it as this
Phoenix Nebula 24 Sep, 2021 @ 9:30am
If I try to reform the faith I can't keep patron deity tenant, is this a base game thing or is it a bug with this mod?
Ayna 20 Jul, 2021 @ 11:18pm
I really love this mod, one of my favorites, played several playthroughs using it.

Though I wish that if you'd already reformed the Germanic religion before making the Hindu-Germanic faith, that your tenants and doctrines would carry over, or treat it as reforming/creating a new religion and allow us to select new tenets and doctrines.
Max 24 Jun, 2021 @ 1:47pm
Hey, I know theres a lot on your plate but will a compatibility patch with more religious doctrines ever be on the table?
Lukas 21 Jun, 2021 @ 9:35am
Kinda immersion breaking to see people wearing fur cloaks with indian clothes. But that aside, your mod is great. I've always wanted some sort of Indo-European mod for CK3
Lukas 21 Jun, 2021 @ 9:03am
Any chance of making this mod compatible with "Ethnicities & Portraits Expanded"?
skaldicarts 20 Jun, 2021 @ 10:29am
Thank you so much for making a CKIII version of this mod. I used to play the CKII version very often.
K did literally nothing wrong 30 May, 2021 @ 2:58am
And with Royal Court, you'll be able to do this shit in Vanilla. Nice.
SeineEloquenz  [author] 6 May, 2021 @ 1:34am
I already had this planned actually. But as I'm still writing my thesis for a few months I don't have time for it right now. This will come, though. Just can't tell you exactly when.
Nibbes 5 May, 2021 @ 5:59pm
Could you make a separate mod exactly like this one but for the Norse in Africa? Use the islands off the coast of Africa as a launching point for the start of the event chain or decisions?
SeineEloquenz  [author] 2 May, 2021 @ 3:40pm
@Emperor of the United States
Thank you very much for the nice feedback! I am honored
Emperor of the United States 2 May, 2021 @ 12:33pm
This is literally one of my favorite mods thank you for bringing here
SeineEloquenz  [author] 22 Apr, 2021 @ 3:45pm
That might be possible. I don't know whether these mods conflict sadly. I'm gonna put it onto the issues list regardless.
Alexandre 22 Apr, 2021 @ 1:08pm
Yeah, but I tried it in another game doing just the Norse-Aryan culture and it didn't create it, so it might be conflicting with the more melting pots mod or something else
SeineEloquenz  [author] 22 Apr, 2021 @ 12:19pm
@Alexandre
Normally the decisions should both work in the same game.
So you had character A create indo-dravidian and then tag switch and created indo-norse with character B but it didn't do anything?
Alexandre 19 Apr, 2021 @ 6:14pm
Is there a way to give someone the Indo-Norse culture after forming the Indo-Dravidian culture? I made the Indo-Dravidian culture and then had my son do the event to make the Indo-Aryan culture in a new land and nothing happened
TheShir 14 Apr, 2021 @ 8:42pm
I loved this in CK2!
SeineEloquenz  [author] 9 Apr, 2021 @ 4:58am
@Princess Alexandra
The culture decisions work analogously to the religion one. They should appear while you have norse culture and a county that has dravidian culture group or indo-aryan culture group respectively.
Allflightsaredelayed 8 Apr, 2021 @ 8:48pm
I've conquered Sri Lanka as a Norse Ásátru in the 1000s (took some time to get there). How does the melting pot works? The mod appears to be working, as I have the "Found Indo-Norse religion" decision, but the cultures have not changed yet, so I'm wondering how do they appear in the game so I can "force" it to happen. Thanks in advance.
SeineEloquenz  [author] 8 Apr, 2021 @ 5:02pm
@fangqiang23 I will take a look at this.
@Exodia will look at this as well
Exodia 8 Apr, 2021 @ 10:36am
I suspect this mod broke my ability to raid after a Varangian adventure. Will confirm later
fangqiang23 7 Apr, 2021 @ 8:11pm
While playing today, I noticed the Forge the Jomsvikings decision was missing. After I disabled this mod, it showed up again. So just a heads-up for anyone that wants to found the Jomsvikings AND go to India.
SeineEloquenz  [author] 5 Apr, 2021 @ 6:00pm
@TurtleShroom
Yes, that makes sense. Maybe I can implement a decision that changes the hostility doctrine to astray, if you are a ruler with the sympathy for eastern religions trait... I'll have to first look if this is possible, though, I'll add it to my kanban board never the less.
You're right, sadly I don't have any pictures or assets I could use. I just added both norse and indian clothings to the cultures so the game mixes them randomly by itself. While I agree that this is suboptimal, I'm unfortunately really incompetent when it comes to art (as one can see by my very creative faith icon e.g.), so there will be no special clothing in the mod if not by chance someone from the community wants to create it themselves and contribute to the mod.
TurtleShroom 4 Apr, 2021 @ 6:48pm
That makes sense. I do imagine, though, that as time goes on, more and more Hindu gods join the Norse pantheon or are seen as the same as a Norse god. Like, I like how the Indo-Norse in CK2 were Indian in skin tone and facial features, but they wore Norse clothing, except more colorful. You don't have any pictures of what an Indo-Norse man looks like, sadly.
SeineEloquenz  [author] 4 Apr, 2021 @ 4:12pm
@TurtleShroom
Yes, it's the whole eastern group.
The idea behind it is that while the faith assimilates some local elements, it is still mostly the faith of the norse invaders, just with an "indian paint". The hostility is lowered from evil to hostile, to reflect the increased nearness. But still, they are vikings, raiding, pillaging and expanding over the subcontinent. Holy wars are tied behind the hostile or evil attitudes, so I figured it would best reflect the attitude I imagined for norse in India. This should and will be better reflected in the tooltips in game, as it is not as obvious as I thought, though.
TurtleShroom 4 Apr, 2021 @ 10:49am
Why do you consider them hostile? RL pagans were used to regional gods and expanding the pantheon. I guess Jains and Buddhists are, obviously, Hostile as well?
SeineEloquenz  [author] 4 Apr, 2021 @ 10:34am
@TurtleShroom
Hindus consider you astray, you consider them hostile.
You can intermarry.
TurtleShroom 4 Apr, 2021 @ 9:42am
Does it consider Hindus to be Righteous or Astray? Can you intermarry with other Eastern religions?
SeineEloquenz  [author] 4 Apr, 2021 @ 9:02am
@Eanred thanks for your suggestions!
I'll try to address them adequately!
I decided against putting it in the germanic group, as I feel it is better represented as an independent religion (furthermore this frees me from overwriting the religion file and killing compatibility with many mods).
Access to shield maidens should be possible without putting it into the germanic group however, I'll look into this after the easter holidays.
A different spread of holy sites is planned, but I didn't yet have time for it, so I just copied the hindu ones to at least have any, this will happen in the near future for sure!
The faith will stay reformed though, as the decision to form it in the first place acts as the reform decision.
Eanred 2 Apr, 2021 @ 1:40pm
I have a few suggestions: if you put the religion into the germanic group, then the tenets will use the germanic flavor text, such as blot and patron gods, aswell as access to shield maidens. I also recommend adding more holy sites to south india. Finally, making the religion unreformed would allow it to be more customized in-game without religion bloat.
TurtleShroom 2 Apr, 2021 @ 1:40pm
You could always increase compatibility by duplicating certain Events (like Runestones) instead of changing Vanilla rendition versions.
SeineEloquenz  [author] 2 Apr, 2021 @ 7:43am
@Emperor Orstein No, you need to start a new save
Emperor Orstein 1 Apr, 2021 @ 7:16am
is this mod compatible with previous saves
SeineEloquenz  [author] 31 Mar, 2021 @ 5:10am
@Azureliger, yes, as of now the mods should be compatible. I try to overwrite as little vanilla files as possible to stay compatible with as many mods as possible
Azureliger 30 Mar, 2021 @ 11:06pm
Compatible with More Norse Melting Pots + DLC Fixes?
Kenta_qi 30 Mar, 2021 @ 10:38am
Nice, i have been doing scenarios like this since CK2
SeineEloquenz  [author] 30 Mar, 2021 @ 10:24am
@Castillo de San Marcos @bdavid, thanks for the report, will be fixed in the next patch.
@thepoweredminers I can't seem to reproduce the issue, you need to have at least one indoaryan/dravidian county inside your realm as well as be of norse culture for it to appear. If you can provide your error.log maybe I could investigate further
SeineEloquenz  [author] 30 Mar, 2021 @ 10:16am
Thanks to you all for the feedback!
I will look into the issues which were presented here since my last reply.
@BLADE I actually don't know if they are compatible, but if you found out I would gladly add the info to the mod description.
Dere 30 Mar, 2021 @ 6:13am
This is nice, since I was doing things like this before norther lords came out, and it kinda became a hobby of mine. Glad to see someone actually made a mod related to it, makes the desire to move to india that much more appealing all over again.

I dont know if its friendly with other mod fixes like the one that fixes northern invasions and varangian invasions or other melting pot culture mods, considering I imagine they both edit the same runestone stuff, but it'd be a dream if it did.
Mg 30 Mar, 2021 @ 6:08am
but it's a great mod :)
Mg 30 Mar, 2021 @ 6:07am
For me it's like Castillo de San Marcos; "Feudal_Indo_Norse_Kingdom" and for all the names of the characters it's "king_feudal_male_indo_norse"
Castillo de San Marcos 29 Mar, 2021 @ 8:22pm
When you are a king with a Indo-Norse culture the name doesn't load and just says "Feudal_Indo_Norse_Kingdom"
thepoweredminers 29 Mar, 2021 @ 5:33pm
the indo-norse culture doesn't seem to be in the game
