@Seine Eloquenz if you would like to cooperate or take the project off my hands let me know, because It is just something i whipped up for a campaign I am playing right now, there is not as much work put into it as this
Though I wish that if you'd already reformed the Germanic religion before making the Hindu-Germanic faith, that your tenants and doctrines would carry over, or treat it as reforming/creating a new religion and allow us to select new tenets and doctrines.
Thank you very much for the nice feedback! I am honored
Normally the decisions should both work in the same game.
So you had character A create indo-dravidian and then tag switch and created indo-norse with character B but it didn't do anything?
The culture decisions work analogously to the religion one. They should appear while you have norse culture and a county that has dravidian culture group or indo-aryan culture group respectively.
@Exodia will look at this as well
Yes, that makes sense. Maybe I can implement a decision that changes the hostility doctrine to astray, if you are a ruler with the sympathy for eastern religions trait... I'll have to first look if this is possible, though, I'll add it to my kanban board never the less.
You're right, sadly I don't have any pictures or assets I could use. I just added both norse and indian clothings to the cultures so the game mixes them randomly by itself. While I agree that this is suboptimal, I'm unfortunately really incompetent when it comes to art (as one can see by my very creative faith icon e.g.), so there will be no special clothing in the mod if not by chance someone from the community wants to create it themselves and contribute to the mod.
Yes, it's the whole eastern group.
The idea behind it is that while the faith assimilates some local elements, it is still mostly the faith of the norse invaders, just with an "indian paint". The hostility is lowered from evil to hostile, to reflect the increased nearness. But still, they are vikings, raiding, pillaging and expanding over the subcontinent. Holy wars are tied behind the hostile or evil attitudes, so I figured it would best reflect the attitude I imagined for norse in India. This should and will be better reflected in the tooltips in game, as it is not as obvious as I thought, though.
Hindus consider you astray, you consider them hostile.
You can intermarry.
I'll try to address them adequately!
I decided against putting it in the germanic group, as I feel it is better represented as an independent religion (furthermore this frees me from overwriting the religion file and killing compatibility with many mods).
Access to shield maidens should be possible without putting it into the germanic group however, I'll look into this after the easter holidays.
A different spread of holy sites is planned, but I didn't yet have time for it, so I just copied the hindu ones to at least have any, this will happen in the near future for sure!
The faith will stay reformed though, as the decision to form it in the first place acts as the reform decision.
@thepoweredminers I can't seem to reproduce the issue, you need to have at least one indoaryan/dravidian county inside your realm as well as be of norse culture for it to appear. If you can provide your error.log maybe I could investigate further
I will look into the issues which were presented here since my last reply.
@BLADE I actually don't know if they are compatible, but if you found out I would gladly add the info to the mod description.
I dont know if its friendly with other mod fixes like the one that fixes northern invasions and varangian invasions or other melting pot culture mods, considering I imagine they both edit the same runestone stuff, but it'd be a dream if it did.
