The Giant map still only allows for 4 religions. Is there an option I am not selecting?

@Ravennaux, this version is meant to work with another map pack with its own resource scripts, so if they alter their scripts its possible that resource spawns will be impacted. I recommend using the imported manually placed resource option that I created for the map, which has TSL placement for resources with some exceptions for gameplay.

Started several games on this map,but after 1000 years or so realize North America doesn't spawn horses or iron..any fix? Does anyone know of a resource mod that may have caused this?

"Fixed it temporarily by changing the mod:id (long hex code) in the modinfo file in \Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\289070\2429507669. You can get the old hex code from the savegame file in your \My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization VI\Saves folder."

@MarSn, the spawns are close but not the same spot. I am fairly certain that both cannot spawn at the same time, but I could be mistaken.

That did the trick! I can't believe a simple camera zoom mod would crash the game like that! Guess I'll have to live with the insanely close camera.

I tried playing a few more times, crashed after every turn, so I can only progress 1 turn before crash now. Strange...

I'm experiencing crashes that I think is specific to this map. I'm a civ6 mod maker so please hear me out. I've disabled most mods but still get a freeze during AI turns, anywhere from 1 to 6 turns after load but very consistently - I'm still only like 30 turns into a new game. No error message, the UI stops responding then the Windows app not responding message appears. I've tested other TSL earth maps without this issue, but prefer this map.

@All, I'm sorry I made a mistake when I updated the mod and I am uncertain as to why my response was censored. I am glad that a fix was found and I would think it should not be a problem in the future. I hope you all continue to enjoy the map and leave feedback on fixes and updates you may like to see added.

Thanks @Mikrin99! The Googling I had done led me to believe that was the issue but I wasn't sure where the original code was located! Not sure I worded it well in my question but either way thanks a lot for providing the answer. Was hoping someone would chime in since @Fifthcolumn's answer was censored.

For anyone else with the save issue @Mikrin99's solution works!

(im not writing out the hex code as its likely what flagged fifthcolumns post)

Very frustrating that @Fifthcolumn your response Industrial__Strength's question is blocked by Steam because I am having the same issue. All game saves I had with this mod are now greyed out and I cannot load the game. How do I get my saved game back? Preferably pls respond without anything that can be auto blocked by Steam so we can see your response. Cheers.

I'm sorry if this is a simple question but I see you modified the mod today (February 24, 2022) & now I'm unable to load any of my saved games that have this mod listed under additional content.
I don't think it matters but for reference the mod was not used in map creation on the saves I'm referencing as I chose to play on a different map type but it was enabled.

Since the mod was enabled when the saves where created I think that's all that matters? Either way when attempting to load the saves I can't do so as they are greyed out with TSL Huge Earth Map v.2 listed in red .

I did some Googling & couldn't find a solution but found something saying to check on if the mod had been modified. So I did so & I saw the date & realized it had been modified & that I'd have to ask if the author if there was a solution. So that's what I'm asking now.

Is there any way I can still access those saved games? Thanks for the mod & taking the time to answer users questions!

I checked my Civ6 mods installation, and found that Y(not)AMP was older than the February update from the Steam Workshop.After having unsubscribed/re-subscribed, miracle!
Rivers and mines appeared!
I will no longer blindly trust the Workshop's automatic subscription system.
So, please forgive my previous post, and thank you for your wonderful work.
I happily return to conquer the planet.

At first glance, this "realistic" world map seemed the one I was waiting for..
But I couldn’t get very far: Throughout the whole of Europe, not a single river and not the slightest iron mine!

@nerd, I’m not the most experienced at using the dev tools so the only way I can “test” an update is to just update it, go in and take a look when I test it, then fix any problems and update again. Usually it’s very small changes in the first place that aren’t noticeable. The recent ones have been a refining of the more accurate resource placements to be better balanced to a 12 Civ game and not clutter up the map too much.

There is no iron on half of the map (I only test from Asia to Europe), horses are few. I tested with both options: Import and map generator. I think v2 has a problem with strategic resources. Strategic resources are Ok with version 1
