I haven't touched this in awhile but its like not possible with how the game is coded. The fact I managed to get it operating like this was annoying enough.

seeing as the mod has been out for a few years now, would either of you be able and/or willing to explain what the hidden buttons at the start do? i was never able to figure it out myself.

The game was not made in mind with a level where you play just a human. So there is no way to save by normal means. You can however use the debug hotkeys and quicksave/quickload.

this mod is very good actually the idea of just being a soldier is very good but my god this mod is so damn hard theres no way to save or something? i haved to restart the game in the drones part because one of them bugged theres anyway to save?

so I asked someone who is experienced with Carrion Lua and it does seem to be possible to have the manual saving but I don't have the original project files anymore so I couldn't update this mod if I wanted to

so it's not possible to swap the code/ script or whatever the thing is with the save and specific door that way the door acts as a save and the standard "save" is just a door?

the issue is that I don't think it is possible to manually make an action to save the game through script/lua

so i just decided to browse the comments of older mods i finished (which tbf is most if not all of them except for 1 or 2) and saw the mention of lack of saving, now at first i wasn't sure about that and why it wasn't added but after reading Cuni and Orgashi's comment from a couple months back i thought if it could be possible to turn the DNA scanner door (the one you use at the end of the main game to finish the game) and turn that into a save point for humans

so... a reverse reverse horror game?....

no healthbar or saves in an otherwise fun campaign :(

Interesting map, had to play with cheats as it's a little too long to clear with one life. But as a map it's an interesting concept, perhaps one that may be explored in the game's potential sequel if it comes out.

Yeah, at the time there way no way I knew on how to make saving load for a human character since it still kinda treats you as if you are controlled my a monster.

To be fair, the game was not designed to have an entire human level. So they did not include any way to save/load or heal humans.
It's why this is the only level on the entire workshop with just a human and no monster.
It is difficult but it's not the creators fault.

It looks incredibel, the game play is great,BUT it sucks that there is no option to save or heal

mod was bery cool, ending was a bit anticlimactic. (spoiler about mod and game code since player controlled humans are still somehow a monster, the creatures arent actually capable of killing you

for some reason the map completely glitched when you try to go down with the elevator in sector 2B, it changed back to the helicopter and showed me the UI then got stuck

How did you get the monster to move? Whenever I try to get another creature controlled by AI in my levels it just sits there and does nothing.

This level crashes with carrion running Linux native, but works when I use proton. Seems to be a bug on the carrion devs side.

That would be nearly impossible for my low level in skill to do unless I create 3 different mods

It's like a one-life roguelike without the roguelike. I would suggest a mechanic to pick either AR, Shotgun, or flamethrower. But I'd imagine that would be hard, same with using a mechanic to have more but limited Lives (guys at start) to play as.

Ironically before I played this I was wondering what it would be like to play as a human to fight the carrion, I stopped playing a couple runs once I got to the first mech boss.

I'll try and run it in a bit to just double check if it is the same for me.
