chocolate in vanilla really grinds my gears, update it to 1.3 pls so i dont have to deal with that clusterfuck anymore :(

It should, I patched the name/description but otherwise didn't change the system name or anything mechanically with the base game chocolate item.

Would the renamed base game chocolate still work with mods that call for it like chocolate milk?
