How balanced are these compared to vanilla? (I have a personal dislike for when mods discard making things fit with vanilla, to give context to the question)

Hi R2G2,The problem was solved just now:lunar2019grinningpig:. I reloaded the previous mission savefile which can open the purchase menu properly , and the game didn't crash when I jumped to the next mission with the same savefile,and the purchase menu can also opened no problem in next DLC. I think maybe my old savefile was damaged or something.:lunar2019madpig:

love the units as well, just checked them out. However hope devs will consider something that you can embed snipers into infantry unit etc.
Hope also that unrealistic buffs from heros etc disappear and become more realistic. Will check back when whole series is finished developed incl. soviets released - than will buy whole package and start german and soviet campaign all over :)

Love the new units!
There may be a minor bug that seems to be interacting exclusively with the mobile airfields that start showing up in the 1941 DLC.

* New units that are in air transport cannot land in the mobile airfields (for example, Scharfschutze).
* New units (for example, Fallschirm IG) cannot take off from those mobile airfields.

Hey Xenos! I’ve made the following updates based on your feedback.

- Finnish AT Volunteers: Reduced cost – 20 Prestige. Added Camo Trait.
- Bf110 Heavy Fighters: Increased cost for each +20 Prestige. Initiative reduced -1 for both variants to simulate poor maneuverability.
- Para AT/Arty guns: Reduced cost for each -50 Prestige. The most recent update has really hurt para units. I’m open to more suggestions if you have something specific.

hey there, nice mod. I've played with it till the end of AO 41, these are my impressions: the Bf110 is a bit all-powerful, overclassing not only all german fighters but also Spitfires and Hurricanes. Stats don't really reflect the lack of mobility of this heavy fighter model. The Finnish infantry is extremely situational: it's useful only if you need to attack a tank in the open while sitting on a close terrain hex. If the tank itself is in close terrain, then any infantry unit will be enough, and if you are fighting in the open you're just too vulnerable. It really needs to cost one less core slot or to get some new ability related to camouflage or winter warfare. Paradropping guns are nice for flavour but they are too vulnerable to partecipate meaningfully in airborne operations. I've tried them but it seems you're always better with one more para infantry. All others units seem fine. Thank you, sir:)

Remove the Sniper unit, please, it is a game breaker. To have 1 single No Retaliation trait hero requires a lot of luck, but to have this possibility for all your infantry units it is just too much. It is also unrealistic, one infantry unit had a some snipers, but a full infantry field unit made entirely only from snipers never existed.

I still can't recreate the issue. I'm wondering if your core might have been from a prior version of the mod and there is a cache conflict. Try deleting your cache files and then import your core. The cache files location:

Documents>My Games>Panzer Corps 2> Cache

Slitherine tech support usually recommends deleting the cache files after they launch a new version, so this might do the trick. If it doesn't work please let me know. Thanks

By chance do you still have the last turn save from your 41 DLC play through? I'm curious to know what would happen if you continued directly into 42 without trying the core import function.

yes, my tests:
start DLC 42 without import of my core no problem with the mod. (purchase screen)
start DLC 42 with import of my core: crash (the only unit i use from the mod is a command tank)
start savegame of DLC 42: (2.mission) crash

The Crash happens when i try to open the purchase screen (hotkey B) or upgrade a unit, it doesn´t matter what kind of unit.

Thanks for reporting the crash. Do you recall which Unit Class of the purchase screen you were on (Inf, Recon, Fighters...etc.)? Also, did this happen on the first scenario?

Purchase screen crashes are usually related to unit graphic images. The devs probably updated some graphic models, so I'll double check the data.

hi i test the anti tank gun and arty gun on the Itailan they did will but the IT MS/ 40 tank was hard to kill with the AT not to metion most mediem tanks the arty was ok but did vary little in the way of damage ant this was on the second lowes difficilty but it feel as the IT got a lot of buff cause they were a pain in the ass to kill there arty and AT just tank alot of damage from my inf attacks they were in city and forset mind you

Do you remember what tank you were up against with the airborne AT? Also, was it being attacked directly or providing support fire? As with the MP situation, I would like to try and recreate for testing purposes.

The camo recon unit is intended to be poor in direct combat. I'm currently working on a new vehicle/infantry recon unit that will be better suited for direct combat, but won't have the camo trait. This should give the player a choice between passive vs aggressive recon strategies.

The Command Panzer needs to be more anti inf because of the weapon its use in history. No more then ! or 2 points at best. Airborne anti tank need two points in to tank damage cause i wind up against Italy 1941 tank and did 1 or two damage max. The Camo recon is really go again inf out in the open and in its car but in inf form they suck at combat. Everything else is good thank you for leting me help you with the balanceing.

i beat the senario Command Panzer 1 need more anti infrtry, Airborne anti- tank no tank damage, the Arty is find the wait it is, Mortar carrier did well and the MP are good now and i play it on nomal difficilty.

I think that I was able to recreate your MP situation. I suspect the MP unit had high entrenchment and the AI was attacking without air/arty support on a high aggressiveness setting.

I've made some changes to both the MP unit (Soft and Hard Attack, Close and Ground Defense) and the Mortar Carrier (Hard Attack and Ground Defense).

The Mortar Carrier will now be a tougher choice because it cannot suppress hard targets and requires better protection. This also follows a more historically accurate line.

The MP units will still slaughter a suicidal AI when they have high entrenchment. This would be similar for all Inf units and not much I can do for that. Please advise if this was not your situation and I can retest. Thanks again for the detailed feedback.

i leave them at 10 its there close defeanse that make them hard to kill in one fight for exmpale Mp vs one enemy infantry unit in a city they lose 4 out of ten and the ienemy infantry lose 8 or 7 in that fight and damn near breaks there moral

Do you usually overstrength the MP or leave them at 10? I'm not familiar with the term attack rank. Are you referring to the initiative stat? Sorry for all the questions. I just want to make sure I can recreate the situation accurately.

in most cases with the MP is the the close defenase and attack rank is higher then most infantry units so i put them close to citys and towns where they can do the most damage. Also what i think you should do with the command tanks in geranal is that you make them more of a support glass cannon unit as to be high risk high reward unit cause of there ability they have.

No worries... I appreciate the feedback. Especially if come across an unintended exploit.

I'll run the Mortar Carrier through another round of balancing testing. I prefer to keep the range at 2, otherwise the Stug becomes an automatic pick. Any changes would most likely be to the offense and/or defensive stats.

Could you please provide more details on situation where the MP unit was too powerful? I would like to recreate it through a custom scenario. Thanks again.

The Mortar Truck is good like i said but i think it may need last range or smaller gun cause of its speed should be the mean saleing facter for people to get it cause right now its better then all light arty and some heavy arty in early game have not got to late game yet. Sorry if i am throing a lot of punch your way i do not want to come out being mean just that some of this stuff some balance in early game is all and thank you for hearing me out.

From what you told me about the Panzer 1 Command Tank seem to be intrestin so maybe keeping the low ammo is good idea but maybe put it under recon would work with the abilitys and give it more movement points so that it can get away from danger. Do you think you Bf110 Heavy Fighters model cause it looks like most German bombers. The Camo car is good most how fast it is, but almost no attack it at all most the damage i get with it is when i attack infanrty with it. The MP seem a little to good because of there close defense they bet almost every thing in close counders with very little damage almost like the snipers but with them if they are attack they get hit pertty bad but its to be expated. its hard to test out the air born stuff seeing how most mission dont give you alot of air tranport.

Thanks for the detailed feedback! Your analysis of the Command Panzer is very accurate, and it was a difficult tank to balance. It gains EXP faster because of its Leadership and Aiming Assistance traits. My attempt to balance this was giving it No Overstrength and No Split traits. I thought about giving it the No Upgrade trait to prevent EXP farming, but I decided to leave that to the individual player.

The AI likes to attack units with high prestige cost and low attack stats. This was another attempt to balance this tank, but also keeps with historical accuracy. The Command Panzer I was only armed with a .30 caliber MG. And I’ve read numerous reports of commanders removing the MG to create more room for map boards, radio equipment, creature comforts, etc. I’m reluctant to change the ammo stat for this reason.

Since I already have the files made, it would be simple to create a private mod base on your preferences. Please let me know if you prefer that option.

Also i think the command tank need more ammo maybe 3 or 4 like a arty but last the most tank cause i find it getting attack more then most other vechines because of its low ammo count. The Mortar carrier is one of my favortie unit in here mostly be cause of it mobile that its has and range i have just got the first stug series and it out range that gun on it. the air born stuff is cool to but i have not use it as must as i should so i need time on them but the MP and the recon car are pretty good to.

The Command Tank is good but i beleve it get exp to fast for the game mostly cause i only use it for three out of the six i have play so far and it has three stars wally every thing else has 2 or mabe one star at most. Not to meanchn the Norway mission where you don't use you tanks at all it still has a alot of exp. but still a good unit those.

The Snipers are my favorite new unit... just make sure to protect them from any ground based attack. For example, they will get absolutely wrecked by a tank in open terrain.
