i think it is very well desighned but may be slightly over powered (perhaps get rid of the health on kill to even it out?) but other wize a very may i reword that EXTREMALY well designed wepon (Keep up the great work!)

You could say the same thing about the meat cleaver for the Scout, but that one requires the target to be stunned first, and they know to expect the knife after getting hit with the ball. This one can come out of nowhere and kill you.

On second thought, make it so Pyros can't airblast the axe. I'll take that. Without the Targe, the Demoman doesn't have a defense against decent pyros.

This mechanic can only work if you make it so that the player cannot throw the last axe. In the rare event that the player runs out of ammo for all of their weapons, or they are using a shield and the booties, they are usually forced to switch to melee. If they throw their melee weapon and don't have another weapon to switch to, bad things will happen.

As far as being able to throw the axe, it seems like a good mechanic in theory, but think of how over-powered both of the shields already are. You charge and throw a crit axe near the end of the charge, and it randomly kills someone who never saw it coming. Imagine being able to instantly kill someone you can't even see from some distance away, while still having all of your grenades. If you thought random Tomahawk deaths were bad in CoD, wait until this happens.
