Hey Im looking to get ahold of ya Im having an issue with the ship and Honestly I don't know where I went wrong. I was redesigning the ship and I finished and im now im having issues with the hydrogen Tank Not refilling. If possible could we talk maybe you can help me.

Oh yeah I like this one.

I was able to get it. :-) it was an "engineering" problem my char had to figure out. Thinking "why did they send me a complete door?! It would have been easier to just build in place. Oh well, here we go..." Again thanks. Beautiful design and very functional. The live floor design worked so awesome with the shipping containers I made with and moved with a tug in space and a fork truck on the planet. Made for some very satisfying RP.

Hmm, the ramp should be rather easy to build. All it is is two hinges, all you'd have to do is build it all and attach one of the hinges. As for the ramp extension, if I recall it's just a single piston, all the catwalks are connect to the extension section besides the top row or two.

And the reason for the fuel system dividers is so that you can haul ice in the main storage containers without running the risk of using it for your engines/thursters. Although the evidence of the engines not properly piped up is clear to see in Spectator Mode. I have updated the ship, but forgot to update the BP as I'm currently working on a MBT project that requires my full, but limited, attention.

The ramp is very difficult to build and reattach. I ended up putting 5 pistons down the center of the hold and a landing gear at a right angle to the piston, connecting the built door, retracting the pistons, SET THE RAMP TO DEPLOY so the hinge is expecting the ramp to be down, then reattaching the door. Worked the second attempt! LOL Anyway, thanks for a cool ship!

I built this in survival and did not see the issue you described. all 8 hydrogen engines at connected to the hydrogen tanks perfectly fine. If you make the connection mentioned you open a loop into the sealed hydrogen system. The engines will not fill unless on but no issue. I did put a set of sorters in parallel to the dividers but just opposite. Named them Raw Fuel Return and put a white list of ice and ammo. Gave me the ability to open ports on the sides of the tanks and hang turrets off them. (also had to add ammo to the divider sorters white list). I leave the returns off as well but can open if I need to pull ammo out or ice out.

Ah... Ok. I got it. So when I was redesigning the cargo hold, I seem to have removed the piping that ran into the hydrogen engines. A simple fix of three corner conveyors would get them correctly piped up again, two for the forward set, conveyor junctions over batteries 01 and 02 to two corner conveyors into the junction for the engines, and a single corner conveyor leading from the junction angled above the rear engine set conveyor junction.

I do apologize for this oversight, I don't know how to fix this issue without deleting this BP and re-publishing the updated version. Regardless of the engines, the refueling for the thrusters is running correctly, simply have to turn the "Fuel Dividers", which are Conveyor Sorters. Reason for the division is so that your extra ice for either cargo or for the Cryo Pods/Survival Kit, won't be used for the thrusters accidentally.

I printed it in survival so I could get it as legit as I could, then I deleted it and spawned it in via the BP menu so what I'm working with is exactly what was uploaded. I'd like to add that this ship looks sooo nice and you did great work on it. Just having issues with the refueling process is all.
Volksjager 24 Feb, 2021 @ 6:00am
aight, should also mention your blueprint was done through a projector for survival, so it could be that the parts just didnt build, but if your still unsure drop me a line and i can run ya through
Demize74  [author] 24 Feb, 2021 @ 5:58am
Hmm, there should be two H2/O2 Generators on either side, next to each sides fuel cargo container, that should be piped straight to the tanks then to the hydrogen engines. I'll go through it this evening to double check it again.
Volksjager 24 Feb, 2021 @ 5:42am
the Fuel issue is the only thing i have found wrong with it, as it currently stands, even if you throw ice into the system manually, it will go to the engines, but it wont start filling the tanks
Volksjager 24 Feb, 2021 @ 5:41am
if you want i can run you through what i did if you have time to fix the issue and possibly nip this in the butt
Demize74  [author] 24 Feb, 2021 @ 4:32am
Please don't tell me I accidentally cut off some plumbing haha. The engine system is connected to the main cargo system through two Conveyor Sorters, as mentioned in the main body text above.
Volksjager 23 Feb, 2021 @ 4:03pm
I had the same issue with this ship, I had to re-route the whole plumbing to it. Go to mechanical hatches and flip the hydrogen engines upside down, then tie all of them into junctions at the front of the line. then cross it into the lines under the hanger grates by the hanger bathroom. Do for both sides and you wont have an issue
nohk 23 Feb, 2021 @ 9:10am
How do you refuel this thing? I put a lot of ice in it but it refuels so incredibly slowly I have no idea what to do. I feel like I've tried everything. I've tried transferring hydrogen from my hydrogen tanks at my base, to the hydrogen tanks on the ship with stockpile on and nothing seems to work. It's just eternally stuck at 22% hydrogen and I can't refuel it. What am I supposed to do?

It also occurs to me that there could be two other variants of this. A short range one that removes the cargo area between the cargo hold and bridge to extend the cargo bay. Moving the survival kit to the cargo hold. Also a short version that reduces the length of the cargo hold by half to allow for docking on smaller capital ships and stations.

Very nice work but if I can make a couple of suggestions on what I had to do to fit a couple of vehicles in. Remove the 45 degree blocks on the outside of the ramp as they hold it about a meter off the ground preventing many vehicles from driving onto the ramp. I still had to mod the CV-08 to get it in anyway. A longer ramp (2 blocks is possible) may improve this but that is more work than I wanted to do this evening. I removed the angled blocks outside the airtight hanger doors to give a bit more access. I also put each row of landing gear under the cargo hold floor on its own button so you can load and secure each vehicle as you go. If I have more than one vehicle on the floor it only locks one of them could be a physics thing. Try loading the CV-08 as I find if you can load this most vehicles people use will fit easily. Also had to remove the gattling on the top of the truck but that's no big deal.

Anyway its a great lander.

When building this in survival, you will need to build the ramp on one of the hinges, then connect the other hinge once properly edited and built. For the ramp extension, the use of a merge block would be needed. I would highly recommend looking up Splitsie on YouTube for the dedicated video explaining subgrids and merge blocks.

And thank you y'all, the ship is definitely designed to be a mobile base if needed and by all means, customize it to your needs.
treecatarmsmen142 21 Feb, 2021 @ 5:44am
Love the design, am modifiying it to suit my needs as a flying base for solo play which is very easy as so little needs to be tweaked.
LIZARD_KING ! 21 Feb, 2021 @ 1:25am
how did you make your ramp one paice cuz when me and some mates are trying to make one it makes two ramps insted of one
Trinity 5150 20 Feb, 2021 @ 11:59pm
This one is a cool transport ship. I'll have to do some conversions since I don't play in multiplayer :)
Demize74  [author] 20 Feb, 2021 @ 11:08pm
Thanks y'all for the comments and positive feedback. As for its turning radius, I wanted it to have that feel of a heavy transport ship so that's reason for its current setup, though if you want it to turn easier, you could simply add more Gyros to it. For the blueprint, if you're trying to print it from a Projector in Survival, you simply can not project subgrids, hence why the loading ramp (which is two subgrids) is not buildable that way. You would have to manually place the blocks down, I'd recommend pasting the ship in a Creative setting to understand how I built the ramp, which is rather simple. And as for the scripts, they are pre-loaded onto the BP so you wouldn't have to sub to them in order to use them on this ship, though I'd highly recommend it since they're awesome scripts regardless.
d3r3k 20 Feb, 2021 @ 8:43pm
the scripts in these blueprints just require us to download them from the Workshop, then build a program block for each script, right? I'm looking for a good long-range cargo hauler thats livable..i have all DLC so my main issue is making sure hinged grids/ramps/doors/etc and scripts match the build in blueprint. Looks killer, cant wait to check it out! Thanks for the hard work on such a bad ass looking ship!
LIZARD_KING ! 20 Feb, 2021 @ 6:01pm
quick question in the blueprint there isnt a ramp in the ramp how did you make your ramp?
CMDR_WATCHYOUR6 18 Feb, 2021 @ 10:20am
Loved your approach to the big hangar. The bridge is also very nice. Just wondering if you thought about making turn a little bit faster, is a little slow for m taste, feels a little bit heavy. just a thought.
Rhylock 18 Feb, 2021 @ 6:56am
Easily one of my favorite ships. I want to re-purpose it as a one engineer flying base. Superb building skills. Thank you for making this.
OttoArms 16 Feb, 2021 @ 5:51am
Looks Nice, Cant Wait to fly it
