Well done-ish ship. Structure could be better with conveyors, but visually it's quite nice. despite unnecessary extra blocks to prettify around hydrogen thrusters. I have a better name for it though, A Suitcase.

Hello Rouge Sable, thank you for your question.
when its on the ground turn off all thrusters and Add ice to its inventory. The H2 generator on board will fill up the Tanks and the Hydrogen Engine will fill the battery. make sure all thrusters are off or the generated hydrogen will be burned by the Hydrogen trusters. you will ned a lot of ice though you could connect a miner full of ice to it. or transfere Hydrogen from a other ship. once you have enough hydrogen strat the thrusters and fly to the nect large grid ship or base and connect to the connector use the large grid to fill up the batteries and Tanks. Hope that helps let me know if you need anything else

How do you move in it survival without h2 inside? lack of atmo thrusters in 4 directions to target the closest connector saddly :(

Hey DerMakrat, I had a look at it's only the upward camera missing. But there is a good spot for it center above the cockpit without imposing on the design. Also I don't know if it matters where the cameras are compared to the connector and remote block on the ship. Thanks, will do :)

I was thinking about doing that, but it felt like all the cameras that the SAM guide recommend would not be ideal, but since you said it's doable I will take your word for it :)
I don't really like making changes to others build, but I would like a fleet of these guys buzzing around. Also since I am using AQD - Deeper Ores I would like 2 Hektors on each ore deposit transfering resources to the base withouth them chest bumping each other mid air and whatnot :)
Gonna build a new one and try to make the SAM thing work, haven't used it before tbh.
I have tried the Hermes, but I prefer Hektor :) he looks to be in the Union and all that.

Hello Khal, thank you for your question. At the moment im not working on new Blueprints. But as far as i can tell. you can install SAM on this without chnaging or adding anny blocks. you would need to change the script and the custom config on some blocks. hope that helps

Are there gonna be a Hektor 2.0? Maybe with SAM instead of PAM and larger cargo capacity

and it can be easyly modivided to carry a jump drive

Update, The ship works good although lacks self defense capabilities, it sure can take a hit though.

anyways gotta ask as I have not tested this ship yet, can it fly without the Hydro thrusters while in atmosphere

@Manshima usually the landing gear in small grid are there for 2 thing:
1) locking up on vertical objects
2) safety precaution for connector so the ship won't fall if they are accidentally disconnected.

So for your question, no they are not on piston

Thanks for your question Batteries output is 10MW reactors and engiens output is 3,5 MW. Im not familiar with that mod but Carebear got you covered on that front ;)

@raymondsims if your refering to tiered thrusters then they take more energy consumption so the reactor might me having issue keeping up with the demande pending the tiered level you want to use (the same can be sayed for the hydrogen thrusters) so you might be force to swap to stonger reactor

DerMakrat tend to give us rather balance ship in most case for power used and power generated.

ok just build it and all went in as it should ...

@MaxDraik hope you know that when the dev talked about "bigger tank" they meant as in capacity of gaz not size of the block... i was able to get every to place everthing in place with zero waste of space... not sure how you where not able to place them ... unless your using a modded version then ok but all vanilla have not change size.

Hello Carebear, correct the small grid Large Hydrogen tank is 5x5x5 small blocks. have you expirienced any problems with the smal grid small Hydrogen Tanks like MaxDraik on this BP ?

Correction 5x5x5 is the small block large version hydrogen tank

One sec is the small block small version of the hydro tank the one you have mention… while the large version a 4x4x6 or 4x4x8… (can’t remember actual size due to my bugs fill brain) correct?

Hello MaxDraik thank you for your comment. to your last question yes im from germany. about the Hydrogen tanks if im not mistaken and please correct me if im wrong, the current small grid small hydrogen tanks have a size of 1x2x2 small blocks or a total size of 4 small blocks. i just finished checking the Blueprint for alingement errors but all conveyors connect correctly. could it be that you have a mod installed that change the size of your Hydrogen tanks ? Could you send a Screenshot with the Large than 1x2x2 Hydrogen tanks ?

Hello DerMakrat, maybe you remember me telling you that, since the small hydrogen Tanks got bigger, some of your interplanetary miners where/are broken. Sadly, the hektor is too. Cockpit and multiple other components got deleted from the BP due to the bigger Hydrogen Tanks. Also, are you maybe german?
