Great Mod,but theses weapons is bit of useless since the damage is too low to be practical, please we need weapon do actual damage .

@bawngfinga Yes, you have a real chance of getting smoke checked by a raider with a m249 if you have this mod

Ive never modded this game before, do things like weapon/clothing mods affect NPC population loadouts? Like will I see raiders etc carrying these at all?

For the shotgun. The menu to switch between ammo type would not go away. So the menu would block the crosshair.

If you're still modding, how bout this recommendation.

Since you cannot dismantle and get multiple parts.

Create a recipe to dismantle the gun into "Weapon Parts"

Then use the "Weapon Parts" to craft the gun and the parts and re-attach them.

Its a round a bout way but it works instead of destroying it.

I cannot sorry, but there are many people who make models for a living on various websites like turbosquid or cgtrader or sketchfab. And there are many other people who will take specific commissions for you.

Bro if you don't mind could you check what's wrong with the mod in trying to make? I want to add Lucille and I'm following every step of the guide Bob made, but when I put the asset bundle files and select the model the weapon is invisible and don't understand what I'm doing wrong bc I know nothing about Unity or 3d modeling in general
The worst part is that I tried to make another weapon mod months ago and could get the model to work in-game but I completely forgot how I did it lol (was trying to add Maria from Fallout NV but gave up while trying to line up the muzzle fire to the weapon xd)

I think I just have my faces inverted, so I'm seeing the inside when I should be seeing the outside, will look at it again, not redoing the axe for a bit since i just got it to work.lol don't wanna bungle something else.

Well, hopefully it's a quick fix, blender is a pretty popular program so there's probably tons of tutorials and help you can find online in general

I got it to work, was something to do with the script, but for some reason my model is showing its interior, like I see the other side of it with walls instead of seeing the filled out model, think I botched something in Blender -_-

ah I missed the activation part of it, didn't catch it on the first go, I made the script but didn't know more than just put it in the editor folder.

Ahh true, you may have to follow bobs guide closer, did you make the editor and put the script in it then activate it in the unity project manager, it's really easy to miss steps on his guide

I think my problem is in Unity, being new to it I may have botched making the asset bundle properly, will have to go over it all again and make sure everything is as it should be.

@OcN.Helbrecht I do not have a video guide anywhere, it's been a bit since I worked with the editor, but there are a few things you could try to fix it. First I'd set it go to the in-game debug edittor like in this picture from Bobs guide https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/ugc/1756936061493588042/093B126A7CD9990F61E739640F0168F6B3FC6676/ and changed the equipped anim to melee or whatever fits it best, I can't remember what it's called exactly. Make sure you hit save in that menu and relaunch the game, if that doesn't work try scaling up the size of the model in that same menu until you can see it, if neither of those work then I don't know what to tell you.

you get to that debug menu by pressing F8

I'm loving your mod, was wondering if there is a video version of the guide for adding your own custom models, been trying to add a new axe model I made in blender and it shows up in the asset list in game but when equipped there is no model.

@vitowns I have played it before with a friend and it worked fine, but always back up your save if you're gonna add it to a pre-existing multiplayer save. You never know when things could suddenly decide to get funky

@EndlingSky. No you need to be on the beta branch, it adds mod compatibility that seperates mods from stories, so you can play with mods in normal sandbox

@1756651846 well there are a lot of things that could be causing this, make sure you're on v112/v113, possibly other mods could be causing this, does it say anything when it crashes?

I don't think the problem will persist if you make a new save, it's just because I changed the MR556 into an AR-15 with the most recent update. Now I know to not change existing things, and instead make new things

I would personally just leave the name changed to MR556 until you're done with your current save, incase any of the AI have one and things get weird
