no worries, (sorry I think I might have given you the address to the wrong mod folder) glad you got it fixed :)
dvdmcwilliams 31 Aug @ 3:46pm
Forgot to thank you for your help ;)
dvdmcwilliams 31 Aug @ 3:08pm
Well I've solved the faulty map tiles, by deleting the dds on the other mod folder "2381830973\1.5\Textures\WorldMaterials\BiomesKit".
Preston 31 Aug @ 11:50am
When the patch dropped a lot of mods on my list broke too, but verifying the integrity of the game files forced Steam to redownload them properly and that fixed it. If your mod is still missing the .dds files after you unsubscribed/resubscribed, it sounds like Steam isn’t redownloading them correctly, which is odd.
dvdmcwilliams 31 Aug @ 10:37am
Nope, just the dds files, which I wonder what happened since they're not there anymore, even after delete the entire folder and redownload the mod again.
Preston 31 Aug @ 9:50am
when you said "deleting folder", you're not deleting the PNGs inside the folders I mentioned too are you?

I'm running graphics settings+ and seems to be working fine
dvdmcwilliams 31 Aug @ 9:21am
I think graphics settings+ is the one messing with the mods.
dvdmcwilliams 31 Aug @ 7:43am
Forgot to mention this error is linked to the mod we're talking in...
I've unsuscribed, deleted folder, suscribed again but the problem persists.
dvdmcwilliams 31 Aug @ 7:42am
@Preston
Now this error "Exception loading UnityEngine.Texture2D from file.
absFilePath: C:\Program Files", this driving me nuts, since I've unsuscribed and subscribed again for the mods you told me to enable to try.
Preston 31 Aug @ 7:33am
yeah, it must be a headache having to update every mod even when there is a minor patch. thanks for still keeping this mod alive, it's a beauty
Sacrificial Goat  [author] 30 Aug @ 7:31pm
yeah it looks like rimworld has added some changes to how images in mods are loaded. I went the other day to update my mods only to find out there is a new way.... sigh
Preston 30 Aug @ 6:43pm
yes a lot of people have been reporting similar performance issues after the patch. good luck with troubleshooting
dvdmcwilliams 30 Aug @ 6:19pm
Appart from this problem, the game started to get lag spikes, and the screen turning black by milliseconds, ill try mod by mod as you say and check which one is causing problems.
Preston 30 Aug @ 4:49pm
sorry I don't know why they show up magenta for you, they were showing up as white/red for me and went back to normal when I deleted all the .dds files

If you want to troubleshoot it, you could try isolating the mods first, only run

Harmony
Core+DLCS
World Map Beautification Project (Continued)
More Vanilla Biomes
World Map Beautification Project - for More Vanilla Biomes

Verify the integrity of the game files

again delete every .dds file in:
...\steamapps\workshop\content\294100\3266720501\Textures\WorldMaterials\BiomesKit\(everyfolder)

then see if you still have the same issue
dvdmcwilliams 30 Aug @ 1:43pm
I've 3 installed
World map beautification project (continued)
World map beautification project - for realistic planets
World map beautification project - for more vanilla biomes.
First two works fine.
If i enable third one, the biomes it adds shows up white/red, or magenta if i delete its dds files.
Preston 30 Aug @ 1:35pm
did deleting the dss files do nothing for you?

i'm running this mod as well:

World Map Beautification Project (Continued)
Preston 30 Aug @ 1:23pm
which biome tiles show up magenta?
dvdmcwilliams 30 Aug @ 1:04pm
Unsuscribing and sucribing again wont solve it either.
dvdmcwilliams 30 Aug @ 1:04pm
Deleting the dds didnt solve it, some tiles shows up with magenta color.
dvdmcwilliams 30 Aug @ 12:37pm
Hi, I have the same problem, where are located the dds files?
Preston 30 Aug @ 11:32am
deleting the .dds files fixes it
Preston 30 Aug @ 10:54am
Hi there, since the patch today, the hill textures on some of the biomes such as cloud forest or alpine medows is missing - on you other mod the alpha biomes patch the mycotic jungle seems to be having the same issue. thanks for your work, not sure if you're still updating this mod but thought I'd leave a note just in case
Mlie 24 Aug @ 11:10am
Since this mod has been reported working in 1.6 I added it to the No Version Warning-mod
https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2599504692
tanyfilina 8 Aug @ 11:10pm
1.6, please?
Justacommonegg 6 Jun @ 3:34am
@SwampVikingGaming save the mod as local (copy and paste the files somewhere else or use rimpy s local copies feature)
SwampVikingGaming 31 May @ 9:41pm
So is there any way to get Rimpy to not recognize the pre-cached instance?
Sacrificial Goat  [author] 25 Feb @ 3:35am
These mods no longer require that as a dependency and are now standalone and work with Re-Growth. If you are using RimPy, that is the issue with RimPy detecting a pre cached instance of my mods requirements.
rotted nightmare 24 Feb @ 6:45am
this mod has the previous world map beautification project (https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2314407956) marked as a dependency still, instead of the continued (https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3266720501) version
Sacrificial Goat  [author] 4 Feb @ 4:44am
ahh I see. I am actually in the process of redoing all my mods seeing as WMBP is integrated into Regrowth, but I will take a look at this issue and see what I can find :)

@Sacrificial Goat
Hello!
I am seeing an error with the display of biomes when they spawn in highlands/mounts/hills.
Apparently this is due to the fact that the mod "Regrowth: Core" including in himself "World Map Beautification Project" and cancelled the requirement, like yours, while while changing the algorithm for adding new biomes to the map. Thus, situations arose in which, for example, "Coastal Dunes" and "Oases" from "More Vanilla Biomes Addon" spawn in highlands, while there is no suitable image file/link for correct display of the this combination and the biome display is reset to the standard one from the vanilla game.
Melissa 3 Feb @ 1:30pm
I see the same error when adding "Regrowth: Wasteland" without any logical connections with your mod. Apparently, it is necessary to add a patch to exclude such combinations of map generation, or bring all possible display options to a single image, adding links to it.
Other reasons are also very likely, but I do not find them.
Conflicts with other mods are possible, but I try to approach the assemblies very carefully, excluding conflicting mods, for example, I do not add other mods to biomes, except for the previously indicated series.
Thank you!

NGL Sacrificial no matter how I try it. The moment I try to change the db.sjon file to no longer feature the old outdated WMBP as a dependency it just bricks Rimpy.
k/\ttnjiå 28 Sep, 2024 @ 5:57am
RimSort got updated dbs and is actively maintained. It's also open-source.
Mr. J Soda 21 Aug, 2024 @ 6:48am
So, I don't think just deleting the entry for World map beautification project fixed the issue for now, as now RimPy is saying this mod is dependant on on the mod "Jewelry"
Sacrificial Goat  [author] 19 Aug, 2024 @ 7:19am
its a RimPy issue, someone mentioned this

Basically it's the Rimpy Mod Manager Database being out of date so to fix it you go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\294100\1847679158\db, open db.json, search for the id of the old mod (World map beautification project in this case) and delete the entry, being careful not to ruin the syntax of the file.
Demize99 16 Aug, 2024 @ 1:49am
In the RimPy mod sorting ruleset your mod is listed as being loaded after World Map Beautification Project. I wonder if RimPy doesn't take that as a dependency? I don't know where that data comes from, it's not in your About.xml.
Black_moons 22 Jun, 2024 @ 3:48pm
PS same errors occur even if I don't have any other mods except more vanilla biomes and this one.
Black_moons 22 Jun, 2024 @ 3:37pm
Getting some errors while running this, on rimworld load (Main menu):

https://pastebin.com/NXX9XuCd

These two errors over and over.

Here is my mod list: https://pastebin.com/vSENniP6

When removing this mod, the errors disappear. Not sure if load order issue or conflict with some other mod?
Sacrificial Goat  [author] 15 Jun, 2024 @ 7:56pm
Yeah I have had a few people report this and I have no idea what RimPy is picking up on that it thinks there is a dependency. In the mod there is a JSON file and in that file you can specify a TAG for dependencies, other than the actual mod my mod is for, those are empty and there is one of my DLC's where I removed everything all together and it still shouts. it is so god damn weird!

Its doing my head in. I need to pull RimPi apart and see what it looks at
DesertOfAngmar 15 Jun, 2024 @ 9:13am
yes in rimpy it says that there is missing dependency of the mod... i will now put the mod and ignore the error, probably you need to look if the its just in rimpy
Mikara 14 Jun, 2024 @ 7:15am
Yea then its wierd then launching it through rimpy its still flagging all the patches missing the mod. I been clicking ignore on sort. Thanks for the response @SG
Sacrificial Goat  [author] 13 Jun, 2024 @ 9:44pm
I have seriously removed the dependency a while ago
there is seriously nothing in the configs for it, I have also seriously incremented the version number to see if it seriously fixes it. Im seriously thinking it might seriously be something on steams end as other serious people have also taken a look and cant see what is going on.
Hopefully the version increment gets whatever serious version is holding everything up.

Hope it works for you now..... seriously!
Mikara 13 Jun, 2024 @ 8:36pm
Seriously...Can you please remove the dependency from beautification..if your adding it to your mod.
qux 16 May, 2024 @ 12:13pm
Can you remove the dependency of world beautification please ?
Sacrificial Goat  [author] 27 Apr, 2024 @ 10:31pm
Ahh yes, There are a bunch of changes that have happened across all my mods, as soon as I get some idea of what is going on, I will update mine accordingly
nothing worse than errors even if they are meaningless..... makes me angry haha
SC_Reaper 27 Apr, 2024 @ 1:49am
Seconding AOITAKA, it would be wonderful if you could remove the dependency :) Also glad to hear about the integration.
Vermillion Cardinal 25 Apr, 2024 @ 11:26pm
Thanks for the integration. I'll take WMBP off my list.
AOITAKA 25 Apr, 2024 @ 10:12pm
I don't need the base mod anymore. I wish it can be remove from dependencies otherwise there is a yellow alarm in my rimpy list. :(
awesomeadam217 25 Apr, 2024 @ 4:01pm
do we still need this if we have regrowth and more vanilla biomes?
Sacrificial Goat  [author] 25 Apr, 2024 @ 7:26am
Hey, I have integrated World Beautification Project so that if you do not want to use ReGrowth, you can still use my mod without installing it.
