Ok I see what you are going for. I think what takes from the "mech" impression the most is the "cross" design. Or "diagnol x" It's got a front side and back side, and two evenly placed extensions of the craft to its sides. This mostly resembles most normal craft. But with "moving parts" I can see the insectoid design.

@dragonbornzyra/"is this a mech?": i admit it is definitly a bit furher from the usual basic robot style and probably ended up more of an hv with moving parts then the usual human mech/mecha.
in my mind i was going for something a bit more organic, maybe bug like.
