Yeah. I had a similar problem with a sound mod to work with a modded engine, but I managed to work around it. Small mistake by the modder, who added a line that shouldn't be there. Maybe, if you poke around, you can find the solution too.

That's what I initially thought, but since it changes the engine badge maybe it also affects the model of the truck by changing the name of the headlights or something similiar.

Hm, weird. Shouldn't happen if it is just a engine. Maybe they have a file changing the headlights?

Just found out, it's the R 2016. I was using one of Galimim's revised engines and my guess is it conflicted with the definitions. Once I switched back to the SCS engine it worked fine!

Which truck the headlights are not working? I checked the files and it seems fine. Try unsubscribing, delete the mod from the workshop folder and subscribe again. I'll rollback my ets2 and give it a look.

Hello! I don't know what happened but I think the mod is corrupted. I looked at the standard.sii file and the values are different than how they were with your mod, and it doesn't work anymore, the lights are just SCS's.

With some modeling, I believe so. Unfortunately, I don't know how to work with it yet. I have some ideas myself and I might be trying doing something in the future.

Hello. Is it possible to make a Mirror Blinker for the Scania Next Gen?

Renaming them wouldn't work, since there are file paths for different headlights and names. It is safe to copy the numbers, tho.
Inside my files, every line has the description of what they do, so it is easier to know what line does to the headlight.

Am I right to assume it would not be too much work to support additional trucks? Basically duplicating one of the Scania directory you have, renaming it to the desired truck, opening the led of xenon sii file and replacing the name of the accessory?

Yes, you can increase them. It is in meters and it should be able to go as far as you want. But keep in mind that beyond that, it would be unrealistic. Specially in the 1.39 version, where the values are very limited.

Okay, so...
The mod uses Halogen and Xenon headlights. The halogen I copied from my mod, the color and everything else should be the same.
Now, for the Xenon, I copied the LED values and did a different color. Since Xenon lights goes from 4000-6000 Kelvins, I did it with 6000 Kelvins. If you wish for a darker color, hit me up and I can change with no problem.
Once the 1.40 version is released, I will update this file too and it should work perfectly fine.

@ alissonwk: I think I got it. I have a specific spot in my garage at Cantania where I can check the lights. Now, both the Scania S and the RJL seem to have to same range. Question: I see in the xenon.sii file the property "low_beam_range" set at 135. Can it be increased? If so, what's the max?

What version of the game are you, 1.39 or 1.40? There is a way to make my headlight fit in there and it is not that difficult. In the truck mod, in the DEF files, you're going to follow this path: def/vehicle/truck/ "model of the truck" /head_light and here, you're going to choose the model of your headlight. Normally, there is xenon, standard or LED.
The file you may open using notepad or notepad++.
Now, follow the same path within my mod and open the type of headlight you want to copy.
If you're on version 1.40, you must select all the lines BELOW and including "low_beam_left_rot:" and paste over the same lines on the file belonging to the truck.
If it is version 1.39, you will select all the lines below and including "left_rot:".
If you copy 'n paste all the lines above, it will not only make your headlight look out of place, it might not even work.

That's the best headlights I found for my Scania S. Any idea if it could support the Streamline from RJL? Now that I used your headlights on my S, the ones on the RJL are pitiful in comparison. I've searched and tried many mods for headlights but none come close to yours. What I like is that it's lighting farther ahead than any other mods.

Idk, probably not. It depends whether the mod use its own headlights or the Scania one. There isn't an global value, so it changes the specific headlight values. in this case, Scania S and R 2016.
Like i said in the last comment, you can always copy the values and paste on your truck mod. You can message me for help, there is no problem.

yeah, only on vanilla. they are applied to the headlights itself. but you can copy the values and insert on your mod.

They only work on the vanilla headlight items, right? If I use a modded headlight unit, the light changes won't apply? Or is that bound to the truck, not the headlight unit?

First of all, I want to thank everyone who subscribed to my mod. I didn't think it would get this many :D
I just want to let you know that I will be updating this mod very soon and release the Scania 2009 version too!
The Halogen light will be less yellow-ish and less brighter than it is now. Range and angle will be reduced too, since halogen headlights aren't THAT strong
The LED Version will get a minor increase in the angles and range, since IRL than are far better than Halogen.
