By far... This is my most favorite Ship. I use this ship all the time and never had an issue with it. I'm even using it in RE2.

So tiy can only have a maximum of 12 Plasma IN RE how are you getting somany on this ship, and also with only 5k shield by defalt how can this survive anything a corvette in a system near the starting system strips its shields in about 10 seconds

@Space Wanderer thank you for the powerful ship! I have a question about one of your game tips. Could you explain "When you find M2 Star system for drone hunting, right mouse click and mark it so that you can navigate star systems to get there. (at least 100~200 light years)"? I know how to mark a star on the map, and then I see it in the HUD (though not on the map), but I don't see any way to navigate to it except zooming around on the map looking for stars in between. Is there another feature? (I know this is not really about the ship, so I hope you don't mind the question. Thanks!)

Default 2.1 CPU drone hunting video is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dy2W6pC3aRw&t=20s After 1.4, drone nullifiers are spawned continuously, so you need to defeat all of them (almost 8~9) then you can loot. Otherwise, you will be attacked during the looting. Spiral move key is "a", " e", "spacebar"

@SLI_Fallen, Thanks for your interest, I additionally attached TOVERA Dreadnought Hunt using SEEKER, but you would need to replace some of the turrets to have full 24 plasma turrets. Also, I updated the default setting to have more plasma (start from 4 upgraded to 18) for easier drone hunting and CV vs. CV battle. Hope you can get some hits from the video :)

The important thing is that you can change the ship as you want. It has enough agility, so from there you can change all the turrets and even you can add more than the upgrade guide~

I was thinking some retractable blast door - and if they don't have forcefields installed, then shutter or armored door, though that would look horrible. And for ease of use, sensor that keeps it open as long as you are around. But you are right that if drones are attacking right now, they may get lucky and blast you through the opening :)
Do you have time for some chat? I wanted to ask you about one particular design.

@BunnyOverkill, Thanks a lot for your kind comment and suggestion. Actually, for my own use, I added solar panel. I will try to add solar panel later one. Though I had to reinstall everytime as you may know. Solar panels were meant to be for base, so not really supporting CV in clean way. Nonetheless, with enough charge, I was able to fly only with solar energy.

Regarding the force field at mining cockpit, I sometimes have drones coming in when I am mining, so I will leave it to be heavy window.

Also, I love the internal design. Everything important is right where you need it. You don't run all over the ship. Everything is easy to find, just a short walk away. Unline some other highly recommended CVs, I had absolutely no problem navigating, even when I just built the thing.

This design is really great. I have been flying it for days now and only changed very little.
Quality of life - I recommend changing heavy windows on rear mining cockpit to forcefield. It means less protection from accidental enemy fire, true, but if you are mining under fire something is already wrong. It's much easier to see through forcefield then windows, even the less tinted ones.
Also, I have added two more WIFI boxes, to the left and right wing. This way, you have much better WIFI coverage in every direction.
Have you thought about adding some solar panels? Not that I have seen good spot to place them :)
Battle wise, this ship is a dream. Fast, powerful, hard to hit. You can outfight anything you can't outgun yet.

Of course, you can modify the ship as much as you want to make suitable for your style :steamthumbsup:

One of the efforts on SEEKER XE design was to make as narrow as possible which resulted in even closer thrusters and generators. As you know, SEEKER CV is a little bit wide, so the thruster might get hit by plasma or lasers.

THANATOS is very long and narrow design to have the decoy turret at the edge so that you can evade & retreat easily.

So, the width and depth are also relevant to the battle and so many config can be done for each battle style I guess :)

Ambassador XTS is the only ship on the list I didn't try in creative reforged mode, in Steam it looks amazing. Unless it aims at you.
Thanatos and Athena are, ATM, *way* out of my league.
I have modified your Seeker XE design with combat plating, it's slower and less agile of course, but still working beast. So now I am deciding between this new Seeker and Seeker XE combat hull, because they both look great and without extreme costs. And I really want to get my hands on xenosteel, just seeing Seeker XE is to die for. :)

@BunnyOverkill, to improve its function in RE 1.4 Three things are updated
1) Moved 4 forward thrusters one block forward and placed hard steel in the middle to minimize explosion damage, also hard steel thin wall is placed between thruster room and fuel tanks. So, small explosion will not cause chain explosion, but still heavy hit will make big hole.
2) Moved Drills to backward spot and added harvest bridge.
3) Placed decoy turret inside of front bridge. (sorry it is ugly but it is essential to have this to attract incoming missiles)

@BunnyOverkill, another note for RE or Reforged Galaxy 1.4 is actually, not just thruster explosion, but weapon, fuel tank, ammo storage explosion, which gave me hard time to design the ship for 1.4, which is why SEEKER will have big hole if you destroy front thruster.

So, I would say if you lose the shield, you are exposed to massive explosion inside of your ship because of the high explosion value in RE. It is not just about thruster, and it is really hard to consider all of them, to update this ship ;;;;

As I mentioned, it is not easy to have enough space between weapon, thruster, fuel tank, ammo storage, so my suggestion would be "do not lose your shield and evade as much as possible", which is why I made this ship agile. I guess you cannot have all if you have CPU limit. I will update decoy turret for that :)

@BunnyOverkill, Thanks for the note. I assumed the thrsuter would not be destroyed because it is designed to evade rather than taking the bullet. So, yes, if you lose the front thruster, you are pretty much done with the battle and I cannot fix design to change thruster location.

Nonetheless, one thing I did not update yet for 1.4 is decoy turret. so I would need to update the design to place decoy turret. This would make the battle hard if you combat with Zirax Battlecarrier and above class POI's. The major change of 1.4 was POI turret setting to aim only turrets and weapons.

The reason I could not make space between the thrusters are
1) to keep 2.1 mil CPU limit
2) to make the ship light and make it agile

If you want combat ship updated for RE or Reforged Galaxy 1.4, I would suggest to look at ATHENA, THANATOS as combat ship, Also Ambassador XTS is one ship I would recommend from other author because of its incredible fire power if you do not mind device limit.

Question, is this design still combat capable in Reforged Galaxy 1.4? A lot of thrusters are close together. I did a test in reforged creative mode and after destroying *one* engine there is a massive hole in the ship. Try it yourself, I attacked the forward facing thrusters.

@H-DE Yeb, Also Reforged Eden 1.4 is updated. I will test tomorrow and publish. I tested MK2 in Project Eden 1.4 for last few days, so I just need to test RE specific things like gravity, solar panels, and battle capabilities. I guess we need to start from the beginning after RE is fully updated. So many things have been changed.

hey nice, there is a issue with solar and Eden just did read it someware. well i understand that we upgrade theme later, maybe you can also relase full version if you like, as i play with no CPU in RE limit as game was setup that way. so happy to see what nice ship you did again

@H-DE I hope I can release MK2 this weekend, but I cannot test in RE 1.4.. I am testing it in Project Eden 1.4, and it works ok. I reserved space for 24 solar panels and 14 battery (70,000) thanks to your suggestion but they will be upgrade item due to compatibility issue. Also, I put 4 decoy generators and heavy bumper. It looks like it can start from 2.1 mil CPU, but full upgrade would require about additional 1.4 mil CPU because of more turret spaces and 12 rocket launchers :)

Well the solar works under the blocks, I just did put a few in the hanger and test it. I play refored Eden all day. so I hope you find a nice idea with solar and Xeno. Yeah i also hope they release 1.4 RE soon. so keep up the good work...

@H-DE Yeb, I saw Ambassador, great ship. I just made prototype of SEEKER MK2 and it is a little bit heavy since I put so many bumper blocks ;;;; maybe I need some balance. I will put solar panel. it is quite good idea actually but needs some design trick (making it upgradable item) so that I can have normal game compatibility. I tried Project Eden 1.4 and a lot of space battle mechanism is changed, so need some study too.

@H-DE Yeb, after finishing 6.2 mil CPU version, I will make better version of this ship with XENO. Actually, I found some more improvement points while playing with this ship, and now I think I can design much better ship than this with XENO starting from 2.1 mil CPU + upgradable :) Though, XENO ship will look very alien.

I actually defeated all the monster POI including dreadnought, Xuan, and many others with fully upgraded version of this ship. If you know where to hit, you do not need monster ship to defeat them.

hey cool, i did make the Reforged Eden SEEKER CV now nice ship, very smart idea you had. did add all into the ship, i just feel Xeno would make it better and saves weight also. just did my first run to the tesch and had some fights with the drones there.... maybe you convert the ones you have.. i just feel smaller ships is what i like more. I did look at your monster but so big ahahah:steamhappy:

Actually, I almost finished XENO ship which requires about 6.2 mil CPU at first and upgradable to max 96 turrets....but could not test in 1.4 because RE is not updated yet. Do you need a little bit lower spec XENO Ship? I am also planning to build a Vanilla XENO ship, which would require much less CPU and I am intending to make it compatible to RE. this need some time :)

For the following setting, you might run out of Mk200 Laser Charge and 30 mm, but I would prefer Flak. Also, if you lose Flak Turrets during the fight, I would suggest to retreat 5 km and put some emergency combat steel or XENO block bumper to make the front bumper, restore decoy generator, and put flak near the original place to win quickly. So, in addition to the bullets, it is good to craft few extra small generators, combat steel blocks, Flak turrets just in case.

For Legacy Drone fight, assuming full upgraded version, I would suggest at least 10,000 Flak, 1,000 Artillery Shell, ~4,000 precision guided missile, 4,000~6,000 Mk200 Laser Charge, 3,000 L3 Heavy Plasma Cell, 5,000 30 mm, 8,000 15 mm and the rest would be up to you. One important thing is Flak will be consumed really quickly, so I usually assign one constructor to craft Flak directly to ammo during the combat.

Flak, Rocket, Plasma Turrets are the main fire power to disable legacy drone's turrets, and Artillery Turrets are to reduce shield & close combat one big shot.

If it is default version, please add few thousands of more Flak and reduce Plasma Cell & Mk200 Laser Charge. Hope you can get lots of drone processors and make Auxillary CPU soon.

I really like this ship so far. It handles great and the design is incredible. My only question is how much of each ammo type would you suggest for a legacy drone fight?

FYI, Reforged Eden is a mod scenario which you can subscribe from the workshop. Or you can join a server which runs Reforged Eden. This scenario is specially design to have much longer game play than normal game, so I would recommend you to be familiar with Normal game first, then start Reforged Eden. It is much much harsh environment to survive in every way. I played Reforged Eden over couple of months, but have much more things to do. Even CPU limitation is harsh, which is why we would need Quantum or Auxillary CPU but after certain point, you can build much much stronger ship which cannot be built in normal game.

Yes, you can use this ship in normal game. After spawning this ship, just remove red color CPU (computer) in the CPU extension room at 1st floor right across medic. Then, everything else is compatible with normal game. Also, you have enough CPU power to upgrade everything in the normal game without thinking about CPU power limit.

Bud, Im new and I dont play reforged (not sure what that is, Im assuming it's server settings?). Can I still use this ship in default the server? Whats different in it that makes it a reforge ship??

@Numpsi, Thanks for your kind comment. I always try to have decent size hangar to host at least one large size heavy tank, and one middle/small size mining SV to play. Otherwise I have to have another CV for planetary exploration. As you may notice, this SEEKER is intended for both space and planetary combat & exploration even for 4g gravity planet.
