No it's not needed only cargo asset set if you want to use branded trucks. Thanks for the notice, I need to fix the description.

Do we still need the "Semi trailer set" mod as well? This is the only truck mod from your list that has that requirement in the description.

@MF My trucks are using compartments, make sure you've utilized both compartments in the config file. I also updated my trucks month a go, if you changed config files before that, make sure your edit is not overwritten

@jones Its an issue only I have because I changed the loading config (in the mod files) of the double trailer truck to also load ore and coal. But the station refuses to let them load coal or ore even tough they now can. Im using vanilla station so it must be somewhere on the truck side.

Hmm never had that issue, and I've lines that only have my Scanias. Are you using mods that change industry with custom products?

I really like this mod and its really helpful since I use realistic town growth combined with additional industry levels so I get ships with more than 1000 units landing at my city's harbour. Now I realised that if you only put these trucks on a line, that the stations lose their possibility to load these and other materials. is this on purpose? (I looked through some files but couldnt find sensible parameters how your .MDL files are doing this.) Do you have any suggestions where to look? :) thx in advance

@Jamiebear, I might update my old models first and see what I do after that.

@scrappy2009, I did some testing but didn't find good solution. For empty container truck problem I suggest you could use freestyle industries and create a line so the trucks will unload and load new set of containers each stop.

That's my problem right now, when it comes to beautiful construction, the container trucks look silly without containers when they drive around empty

I mean fake container trucks that can drive around with loaded containers as KI vehicles. Until now you have to transport goods so that the containers can be displayed

Do you mean asset trucks? They already are there, check assets and small truck icon. Maybe your save is dated before they are available, they appear 2004 and 2009.

Did you get error message? Make sure you have also activated my Semi trailer set and Cargo asset set. Although game should load fine without activating them.

Thanks for the suggestion. That is true indeed, once I finish my Volvo F12/F16 I see if I'd modify them to have several compartments. It's just lots of work since I made several versions...

Fantastic mod, however it would be even better if You could modify it to have several compartments.
A distribution truck usually carry all kinds of stuff and if You have two containers on the same trailer it is not likely that You would put the same type of cargo in both, then You could just as well use a larger container instead.
Hencely I would like the rigids to have several compartments and the container trucks with 2X20/26ft to have at least two compartments.

It would be very interesting to have 2 sets of values like you said. One more in line with the balance of the vanilla game for 'purists' like me, and the bigger values for people that don't bother with it.

They are not accurate when it comes to cargo weights, TPF2 cargo system doesn't really mimic real life cargo values well at all. They are higher that then are suppose to, but I didn't want to make their capacities too low so you don't need to spam millions of trucks in one line. Around 20 units would be more realistic for semi trucks for example.

I could always make mod options so you could choose to have more realistic cargo values.

Are these capacities accurate? Every cargo unit in game weights 1.2 Tons, or 1200 Kilograms.

For some reason game is giving the error below, I haven't located where it's getting the data. That doesn't effect gameplay though.

Should work just fine, cannot say what is causing the issue since you didn't send the error message. Make sure you have also subscribed to required items and lastly unsubscribe and subscribe again to make sure every file is downloaded.

It would probably be easier if you create new .mdl file for your own texture set and you could keep Schenker. You could use my default texture sets as a base. Check my earlier reply, TPF2 has article about the repaints and how they are created.

I've changed the "Schenker" livery, but in game its not showing on the single truck and trailer but is on the tandems and Lorry style trucks, my company truck is showing the livery but not the "Schenker" trailer. any advise on what is causing this to happen?

Used Photoshop to do the liveries
Tried DDS 1, DDS 3 and DDS 5 when creating the liveries :/

I am located at Finland, I don't think I've ever seen van Gend & Loos here :)

My truck and trailers are possible to repaint and Paint.Net should be enough. Basically you'd just need to create new colormap (the albedo map) and then create a mod that adds another truck to the vehiclelist. It's not that hard once you know what you need to change. Normal map, metal/gloss, dirt/rust textures can be reused unless you want to make changes to those.

There's article about repaint mods in Transport Fever 2 wiki here https://www.transportfever2.com/wiki/doku.php?id=modding:repaintmods . I also recommend to check how I've created my trucks with company textures like DHL.

I am overwhelmed by other things at the moment, so unfortunately I don't have time to make it.

I don't know from what country you are from, but could you please make a texture from the Dutch company "van Gend & Loos" please ? I make these skins myself for my VTC in Euro Truck Simulator, but I have never done that in TF2...If it's done with Paint.net I think I can do it myself.

Hallo

Ich bin Tobi, zocke das game Transport Fever 2 habe ca.240 stunden und auch schon denn Vorgänger gezockt geiles game kann man nur so sagen.

Mein anliegen ist sie als Modder, und würde einiges geben wenn es die Möglichkeit gibt vielleicht mal ein Mod der Australischen Road Train Truck machen würde das wäre mega cool denn ich habe gesehen das sie einige Mods haben die sogar ich nutze, würde ich mich freuen wenn sie vielleicht mal drüber nachdenken oder jemanden anderes kennen der das vielleicht machen würde.


Und wenn es die Interesse und die Idee gut finden würde ich mich freuen wenn ich sie sich das Projekt annehmen würdet das wäre super.

Make sure you have both required items downloaded and activated in the game. There isn't any known glitch which would crash the game.

Hmm sounds like the mod hasn't download everything, try to unsubscribe and subscribe back to my semi trailer set. That should redownload the mod
