copy your own vehicle from your existing world and paste it into a new world (in space) > copy/paste the strider chassis in there as well > cut off the legs from the chassis and copy/paste them onto the vehicle > build a programmable block on the vehicle and copy/paste strider's suspension script into it > copy/paste the new vehicle onto a planet's service (enable indestructible blocks and voxels in the world settings before you do that; might still take a few tries) > Done!

Awesome, I like the concept just not sure how to merge it with the rover i linked lol

One more question.. The supports between track section and main body up top. Could they be increased in number? So instead of 1 suspension maybe use forward have 1 each side of track section. and one each side rear of track section? so 4 suspensions per track piece?

If the tank tracks can take the weight of the vehicel, I don't see why not. You could copy paste the thing into a zero-g enviroment to replace what you want.

It's mostly a bare frame atm. A proof of concept in many ways. The script still needs a bit of work. Anyway, you can slap on as much deco as you like : )

I actually have a slightly more refined version on my local save (with a giant, airtight, ludicrously complex ramp) but I'm not actively working on this at the moment.

This rocks! is it still working? Ild like to use this on my rover im building. Only thing is the support for it looks too flimsy to handle lot of weight. Not saying it is, just that by looking at it driving past you. you would wonder how it was holding itself up :-)

Any way to make it thicker? so would make sense on some thing like this for example..

If so then this is what ive been needing! And if works with tank tracks mod imma die happy man lol

As it turns out, making such a script wasn't as difficult as I thought. It doesn't really meet my expectations though. Full stabilization while going through heavy terrain just doesn't work well with the current version of the vehicle.

If I give it the required authority it interferes severely with the suspension and starts to lift the tracks off the ground. The angles on the arms just aren't wide enough to do both at the same time it seems. Dampening is a thing though. That's an improvement I guess.

Back to the mechanical side of things now...

More stabilization should be doable. I have a pretty good idea on howthis could be done on the mathematical side of things. The script however, will be much more complex.

It's something I will look into, but it'll likely take more than a few days or weeks.

just a thought, is there any way to stablize the platform, very new to this program and don't know what can be done, I like your concept, but i was thinking on a larger scale.

nice, now i have more ideas since i couldnt make this work, at least with vanilla blocks it didnt, Clang wouldnt allow it ^^
