Multiplayer can still be played, there's a guide in the xcom discord pinned in their multiplayer channel to get it hooked up and playable again

Were issues with specter or advent psi fixed? seems there are great problems to mind control enemy units in vanilla wotc multyplayer

Slighty dissapointed that theres no Shen's Last Gift or Alien Hunter related stuff. (Young-Vipers and the Derelict Mecs) Although i can understand why it wouldn't be possible to add Rulers due to how they work. Still a great mod.

honestly that just seems hilarious. love it. Could be pretty unbalanced but I feel like it's a good "if I go down i'm taking you with me" button. Also, this mod in general just seems... Super cool. If I had to give a suggestion, make the powered versions of the units have the selection art of the other version, but add an additional upgraded arrow like the one from the plasma grenade.

I haven't thought about adding the alien hunters guys because I don't own the DLC, although that sounds pretty interesting and might try to do that if I end up getting it. Right now I'm trying to learn more about how weapons and abilities are coded so I can fix/balance some of the more broken weapons/abilities in the mod right now, so I haven't planned on doing custom things. However, I am looking for ways to get more utility items into multiplayer and unlock the customization of soldiers so I can move on from the long bulky list and let the player customize their soldiers a la XCOM EW MP.

Great mod! I play often on multiplayer with my friends and the only other multiplayer mod I know of doesn't work with WOTC. Haven't found any major issues so far. Do you plan on adding any of the Alien Hunters new guys, or anything else custom in general?

@Hyziant_3000 actually after asking around on the XCOM Multiplayer discord they helped me find the issue. I had every DLC while my friend only had WOTC. After disabling all my DLC besides WOTC it worked without a problem! Good mod.

Uh oh. I haven't run into this issue myself. I know that XCOM 2 MP can do this from time to time naturally b/c it's rough, but that's probably not the case. If you're running other mods, that could be an issue for some reason, so if you haven't already maybe try running without other mods. If that doesn't help, then I don't know unfortunately.

game crashing after first couple turns? it seems to just crash with the person connecting and not the host? weird.

Yes, I can do that. I'm a little "shy-er" when it comes to discord servers, but I'll manage. The biggest thing for me is that I haven't fully figured out scripting and stuff (most of the mod right now deals with config files and localization files), so ability fixing will probably take a lot more time before I can patch those out.

If you ever need someone to test things out, I'd be happy to help. There are a couple of us on the XCOM discord that like to do mp, and this could be a breath of fresh air for us if it can be polished.

Great to hear it! I didn't know that the Chosen couldn't use her melee, RIP. We just only used her shotgun so we never noticed. Thanks for letting me know!

Had a blast with this mod. I noticed that a lot of the Chosen abilities are unusable, including the Assassin's melee (oof...). Still, great stuff.

Can we have a player group or something where we can add each other just to play MP / this mod? I think this game's MP is great but none of my friends want to try it.
I once played the MP vs a friend on PS4 when it was free for PS+ but I ragequit because he chose all grenadiers and just spammed grenade launcher because its 100% hit rate guaranteed.

@Woeful Thanks for expressing your interest! Yes, I am working on fixing the issues that are there, with varying levels of success lol. I'm trying to fix the weird glitch with the Faction unit XCOM skills right now.

@MrMister Haha fair enough. Yeah, that probably makes more sense lol. That's probably an easy fix; will do that to make it more intuitive. I think I left the Mk. 1's as they were because I wasn't sure if changing the default MP loadouts/templates would mess with the game's ability to function, but I forgot to get back to it when I got everything else figured out. From what I know now, I don't think it'll be an issue.

@miku567 So far, I have tried to play multiplayer with these mods on and it did not work (the game did not start turn 1 and we were stuck waiting for ever)

- Stop Wasting my Time (WOTC)
- Gotcha! Flank preview
- Overwatch All/others
- Numeric Health Display
- Cost Based Ability Colors

We didn't specifically test which one(s) caused the issues, but that's all I really know myself. Since most XCOM mods are single player focused, we tend to turn off most of our mods when we play anyway. Sorry, I wish I could be more helpful, but I hope this helps a little bit.

Couldn't you solve that by replacing the multiplayer-specific MkI variants with their singleplayer ones?

@miku567 Just to be very specific to your question, yes, you and your opponent will need to have the same modlist enabled, so your opponent will need to have all the other mods you have enabled as well. From playing with my friend, some mods don't play well with multiplayer, so just be sure to use caution when using other mods!

@miku567 You can only play with this mod if another person has the same mod. If you don't understand here is an example. You have this mod and waiting for another player, then a player joins because that person has the same mod to play with you.

Do I need to have the exact same modlist as the other person or just this mod.
