In the achievement "Fortification" barricade are they the same as wooden palisades and or stone walls?

I should add that from copper age onward the chances of getting raiders in the same season is a lot more possible. Space between raids is then 2.5 years with 0.5 year variance so 2, 2.5, 3 years in between.

There is a variation of 0.5 year on time between raiders attack so you were unlucky and this should change eventually.
Oleg's isn't an easy scenario in hardcore, your population increase will be slow due to frequent raids, storms and blizzards.
The scenario isn't super hard and if well managed even easy.

1 thing i noticed that is SUPER annoying, more often than not raider come at the start of winter, and it is like a 50/50 chance that a blizzard happens at the start of winter. This is an issue mainly because armor has no warmth value. I lose more people to hypothermia (while defending against raiders) then i do to raiders.

You should try to advance more quickly from era to era as you do not have to get all the techs in anyone era right away.
I try to skip copper production as there is no gain on tool performance.
Bronze needs 2 metals to produce ingots. Try going from bronze to iron asap.
Iron tools are same as bronze but only require 1 metal.
In the first 3 eras, only research techs that are essential. religion for example is not essential after Mesolithic.

I admit that Oleg, if played on hardcore, is not easy.

First of all I wish you all the best for 2021.
Regarding the raiders advance you can change the "hardcore timer" in the '<!-- Set raider parameters -->' in Oleg.scn.xml.
Change "era="CopperAge" hardcore_timer="15y"" and so on to a higher number of years.
Number of years from start of the game until A1 advances to the next era.
I made it 5 years from copper to bronze and to iron. meaning you have 5 years to get to bronze when you get into copper age and so on to keep up with tech.

Im still in Neolithic times but raiders are in bronze age and too hard to defeat.
Is it possible to keep them to your era only?

'Taylor' yes it is possible to keep ancient animals forever.
You can do that yourself by going to "SteamLibrary\steamapps\workshop\content\858810\2332063921" folder. Open it and open "oleg.scn.xml" using notepad or notepad++.
Go down the list until you see 'Set animal population' each one has an "era_factors ="0.25 0.5 0.75 1 1 1""
'0' is none
'1' is all
fractions are 0.25=1/4 of number and so on.
There are 6 numbers in a row, one for each era.
"Olegs" already has this set up. You can change some of the numbers to get more or less animals.

tried hardcore. Non stop raiders, no migration, constant cave lion attacks make for a poor game experience.
