@Tod Rombio, I think it should work with Royal Court DLC, but I am not 100% sure as I didn't bought that DLC.
There's a difference between "quite accurate" and "ahistorical and unrealistic".
@Duesen, mod is compatible with the existing game version, I already checked it, should work. If you are still having issues, you can contact me on Discord: Jetta#9038
@Karl Yes, I know. The thing is, I reverted the "baronies = counties" change that I did, cause the game became very unbalanced. I know that the map is not as accurate as it was back in the day, but the issue is, that there is no system in the game to change Barony culture, I can change it in the game files, but the culture/religion part only applies to the counties. If the game will have that system applied also for baronies, then I will be able to make the map as accurate as possible.
I can point you towards the correct resources/map if necessary as I studied Northern-European history in uni. Check out the publications by Marika Mägi, the main expert on the Eastern Baltic region in the Viking Age.
@Tod Rombio, the thing with Ösel is that Scandinavians called it Eysysla, Estonians - Saaremaa.
Livonian Brothers of the Sword founded Bishopric of Ösel-Wiek which is probably why it's called like that in the game.
Really want to know what kind of research devs did cause there are some things inaccurate, which is why I changed lots of things on the map, just to be historically accurate.
Thank you Jetta!
I was listening livonian crusade podcast and they kept mentioning Osel, is that a german name and was there local name at the time?
Tuhkur, changes will be in place in the next mod version.
Estonia
P.S. I will still continue to update the mod if there will be an update for the game.
