great map! took me over 2 hours to finally see the finish. :steamhappy:

I opened up the puzzle editor and slapped a light bridge on a wall to test this out, and it's 50/50. There IS a magnet put there by default, but it's small enough that you can still place a portal to make a light bridge ceiling.

@phaaze No. If there is enough space for the portal, the portal can have the lightbridge go through the top or the bottom. If an author only wanted the lightbridge to go through the bottom, then the author will remove any portalable surfaces under the lightbridge.
Technically, you can have a larger portalable suface where both lightbridge options are possible (such as this test), but add a portal magnet so only one option is. But I have not seen that.

I didn't know you could adjust portal height on light bridges, which had me stumped till I checked that part of the solution. don't most maps "magnet" the portal so that the light bridge is always at the foot?

@SteemStream thanks for giving it a shot. I have not heard a better description for my tests than 'weird.' Hopefully your version has better lighting!
SteemStream 8 May, 2021 @ 5:11pm
There are some neat ideas in this map, but personally too many moves that are weird for me to do in a puzzle. I figured out practically all of it, but only got tripped up on the move at 0:57 in the solution video. Just for some reason never crossed my mind that I was going to walk through the yellow fizzler above the normal fizzler, I guess it also doesn't help I just don't think of raising yourself with the lightbridge as often as this chamber wanted :P Anyway, maybe Ill think about doing my version of this map and see how that fares :)

@PeterLucas you are so close! At one point you were one step away.
PeterLucas 11 Feb, 2021 @ 10:45pm
This is a great level, and I'm proud to say I've learned a few tricks while trying. Here's my run: https://youtu.be/JgiS1gxJE_8

Pretty sure I was close to the final solution!

Well, I think that's a first for me lol - time to watch the official walkthrough.
ĐⱤ₳Ⱡ₳₥i₳₦  [author] 4 Jan, 2021 @ 9:18am
Ya that's it, good job! I think your the only person who has done it like that!
bullfrog 4 Jan, 2021 @ 5:12am
sheepdog; I’ve found a more “sensible way” to do it, without the part at 2:55 in my last video that “isn't really intended.” In the following, rather longwinded, video, you can just watch the bit between 3:40 and 4:00 if you want, as the rest is almost identical: intended solution ?
Dark Rozen 3 Jan, 2021 @ 10:21am
Fun
bullfrog 3 Jan, 2021 @ 9:27am
Thanks. My comment, "a bit fiddly at one point... I’m not sure if that bit was needed", is the bit I was talking about at 2:55, so I'm pleased. I'll play again in the morning and see if I can find the 'sensible' way.
ĐⱤ₳Ⱡ₳₥i₳₦  [author] 3 Jan, 2021 @ 8:23am
@bullfrog ya that look all intended! The part at 2:55 isn't really intended. I tried stopping that by making the relevant portalable surfaces half portalable. You can find another way to get that cube back on the button, but what you did was fine and doesn't derail far from what is intended.
bullfrog 3 Jan, 2021 @ 4:50am
Excellent puzzle, which certainly took some thought - definite thumbs up. It seemed a bit fiddly at one point, but the puzzle I really like and I’m not sure if that bit was needed anyway. Don’t want to look at your video yet: intended solution ?

Thanks for the video @The Casual Gamer and thanks for playing @Crazy Attack371

This test has a good concept. I played it and enjoyed it good work.
levitatingspleen 25 Dec, 2020 @ 9:10am
Oh thanks, I'll give HB's a try! I find sometimes with any creative activity it's more important to publish something that way you can iterate on the idea later down the line.
ĐⱤ₳Ⱡ₳₥i₳₦  [author] 23 Dec, 2020 @ 11:45pm
@levitatingspleen Thx for playing it, I'm glad you found it interesting! I'm not completely happy with this test because I feel like it does not use the space to its full potential. This is something that requires a remake. But, this is inspired by HugoBDesigners test One-off https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1167133914 you can see little similarity between the two. If you want more of this you can give HB's test a try.
levitatingspleen 23 Dec, 2020 @ 3:22pm
This was a really cool test, especially in the way it teaches you some of the more interesting mechanics of the on/off button and how it can be used to bypass fizzlers I'd definitely be interested some more tests that involve this concept. Great stuff.
ĐⱤ₳Ⱡ₳₥i₳₦  [author] 21 Dec, 2020 @ 6:31am
Thank you to everyone for giving it a try
@libbybapa ah, it was all intended until that last part, thx for pointing it out
RazorLaser 21 Dec, 2020 @ 2:17am
Nice test. Good work. :steamhappy:

A good puzzle! A bit fiddly in a place or two, as @ShaggieIII said but not a problem. :) :bigups:
ShaggieIII 20 Dec, 2020 @ 7:54pm
Played it a couple more times. Had very little trouble this time. Maybe I was just being a spaz earlier.
ShaggieIII 20 Dec, 2020 @ 7:45pm
The concept is solid and solving it wasn't obvious. That's good. Then when I got it done, very satisfying. However doing it is too fiddly. Making small adjustments to do what is needed, saving and restarting many times. It is rough but there is a really good puzzle in there. Well Done.
