Can you update to 1.5 please?
Suzan 19 Sep, 2023 @ 7:15pm
Splash of blue....its very effective to keep pawns happy/working. but doesnt recognize slaves or keep married/lovers on the same schedule. so your giving up some things in exchange for single pawns being more efficient of their time/ less likely to break
Suzan 16 Sep, 2023 @ 1:23pm
Apparently it does not from testing. It does work well for maximizing work, but total mood can be lower for couples
Suzan 14 Sep, 2023 @ 1:56am
How does this handle pawns in relationtionship? does it keep both of them sleeping at same time so you have got loving mood bonus?
SplashOfBlue 14 Jul, 2023 @ 10:42pm
Is there a small video of how this actually works/plays out? or even just someone playing a series with this enabled?
BtaylorTheRogue 30 Jun, 2023 @ 11:58am
Hi, sorry, I don't have a github to put the issue there.

Could there be a way to exempt specific pawns from the scheduler?

Slaves don't need recreation. Yet most of mine are permanently in recreation/sleep.

@Sharkfowl

There should be a button "ModButtons" in the very lower right corner which pops open a tray with some buttons.

There is a known bug where the tray of buttons might not show the first time you open it, and you gotta open-and-close it an extra time to get the tray of buttons to appear.

How do I enable this mod in the game? I'm getting the prompt telling me to do so in-game, but I'm unsure how.
ThePastaManCan🤷‍♂ 25 Apr, 2023 @ 12:27am
thanks @DonZekane the common sense mod and always set to recreation was what I was looking for too!

The aforementioned beta changes are now pushed to this Workshop / master.
Maarx  [author] 23 Mar, 2023 @ 12:07pm
As of today, the "master" branch / this Workshop version has a long-standing issue where state is not preserved upon Save->Load.

This includes all states, examples:
* Mod defaults back to "Disabled"
* Mod forgets Pawns set to MaxMood
* Pawn forgets previous AllowedArea for those currently in Joy/Medi.
* Mod forgets SpoonFeeding/ImmmuneHandling/DoubleEat/DoubleSleep/etc.

If you try the "beta" branch off of Github, it now remembers all of the settings when you Save->Load the game, which makes it much more pleasant/reliable/consistent to use.

Please try the beta branch!

If you have any issues on the "beta" branch, please report them on GitHub (or here, I guess): https://github.com/maarxx/SmarterScheduling/issues

I will be away for ~3 weeks (won't be around to fix any bugs) so I won't push this feature to this Workshop version until after I get back.

Updated for 1.4
Teirdalin 5 Dec, 2022 @ 7:17pm
Anyone confirm if this is working with 1.4?
I notice people saying that the requirement, mod buttons, crashes the game.
DonZekane 15 Feb, 2022 @ 4:42am
@vkhill0 "Common Sense" has some pawn behaviour recreation-related tweaks that you can toggle. Saying this here just in case SS doesn't help.
DawningPhoenix 5 Jan, 2022 @ 9:29pm
without this mod even when i have a pawn's entire schedule set to recreation and even zone restrict them so they have no other option except recreational activity THEY STILL STAND THERE LIKE IDIOTS WITH THEIR THUMB IN THEIR MOUTH AND THEN COMPLAIN ABOUT "RECREATION UNFULFILLED" does this mod help with that by any chance?
slurpings 11 Nov, 2021 @ 10:49pm
1.3?
Garlic 14 Jul, 2021 @ 8:09pm
I guess this mod check pawn's condition on its own and doesn't care player-made schedule. Kindda making work shift pointless, like 2 crafters using same 1 work table day and night.
Cpjet64 20 Jun, 2021 @ 1:24pm
also having the same issue with the beta. is it possible to disable smarter scheduling for specific pawns ie the androids?
(◣_◢) 6 Jun, 2021 @ 4:46am
I guess, i have encountered a bug with the beta version? For some reason some higher tier Androids (t3+) will not fullfill thier recreation needs.
(◣_◢) 13 May, 2021 @ 12:41pm
i recently installed the beta and haven't had the bug since. thanks for looking into it.

https://github.com/maarxx/SmarterScheduling/issues/100

Link for tracking Android issues, which has a link to the beta branch as I update for androids.

Anyone who knows how to install mods from GitHub / outside Workshop, please feel free to check beta branch as I add android support.

When it is done, and if I can get some confirmation that it works correctly without further issue, I can then update master branch / update this Steam version.
kaig3n 11 Feb, 2021 @ 5:56am
This mod doesnt seem to take into account the Night Owl Trait.... Am i doing something wrong? Or is this the case?
irilis 29 Jan, 2021 @ 11:57am
After installing this mod, I regularly find my pawns sleeping in Joy area on the floor. Formally they're on the Sleep schedule and in Unrestricted area.

I'm guessing that they were on Recreation/Joy just before that and Recreation changed to Sleep and they went to sleep right there, before they noticed change from Joy to Unrestricted.

Might it be possible to change area to Unrestricted a fiew ticks before changing the schedule?

Scrap that she now constantly swaps between the anima tree and sarcophagi (nothing in the debug log either)
Monke time 1 Jan, 2021 @ 9:51pm
When using the "meditation management" my pawn won't medidate if she has a meditation spot, without it works fine however. (tribal with yeoman title)

Android Tiers.
Maarx  [author] 29 Dec, 2020 @ 10:32am
@AnAuthor I will look into this, which Android mod should I use to test?
An Author 26 Dec, 2020 @ 2:24pm
This seems to have issues with androids. Auto scheduling does not work if there is an android colonist. Not sure what else it could be.
Peanut Arbuckle 23 Dec, 2020 @ 5:12pm
The auto management is only working for my first 4 colonists. Every joiner past the initial crash is not managed. Great mod though.
natthegreat668 20 Dec, 2020 @ 5:48am
IDK... I think the common sense mod fixes enough problems while being simple enough.
An Author 19 Dec, 2020 @ 12:24pm
Great mod. Maybe makes the game too easy...haven't decided on that myself. But I love the idea and the functionality.
[Dragunov37] 19 Dec, 2020 @ 1:25am
and add previews to your mods, otherwise you don't even know what to expect from the mod
[Dragunov37] 19 Dec, 2020 @ 1:24am
less water, unnecessary explanations and more about the functionality of the mod
