You're probably just not waiting for the addons to load before entering a match or you're playing a custom map with custom horde sounds, I use this addon myself and can confirm it's always worked properly

Fucking PTSD man.... I had this enabled on Dark rain and forgot until the storm section started. (this hit hella diff walking through some cornstalks and rain bruh.)
