Actually yes, this is the next one up on the slate though it'll be as part of a new mod. Sorry for being slow to update things!
Ave Imperator 29 Aug, 2022 @ 11:40am
Is this ever gonna get an update like your other mods? Seems pretty interesting.
flyons_gary 24 Dec, 2021 @ 11:29am
Hmm, so it works on 3.2 or at least seems to. I do have a different question, would it be possible to be able to get decisions that let you send resources to the swarm and a decision for it to be made neutral to it like one can to Amoeba's?
flyons_gary 10 Dec, 2021 @ 3:25pm
Is it still fine for 3.2?

1%? I'm pretty damn lucky on my first try. The one station and matriarch

The star swarm gain combat bonuses upon killing fleets and possibly upon killing ships, as well as resources. If neither of these are happening before the boosts take effect, then I will have to look into it.

As for the Queen, I'm assuming you mean it transformed into a Matriarch. As it stands, Queens have a 1% chance to turn into Matriarchs upon successfully killing a fleet. I've been meaning to change this so that they have a minimum amount of fleet kill and/or a minimum fleetpower for the enemy, but I haven't been able to get around to it.

May I ask why, at the beginning of the battle, the ships ' combat strength increases, and when the station is killed, the queen changes the ship type?

Although I've not been updating my mods recently, yes they are all supported barring severely outdated or test mods. I haven't been able to check, but the latest update shouldn't have caused any problems for this one.
dchy 8 Jun, 2021 @ 9:45am
Is the mod supported?
flyons_gary 27 Apr, 2021 @ 3:19pm
Alrighty, thank you
Obscuris  [author] 27 Apr, 2021 @ 3:10pm
I did a test game to around 2350, didn't see any errors except for the ones I couldn't do anything about even in 2.8. Should be fine, but I'll take another look over the next week.
flyons_gary 27 Apr, 2021 @ 2:03pm
Do you know how its doing in 3.0?
TurtleShroom 24 Jan, 2021 @ 3:30pm
Got it. I guess that I just haven't seen it yet.
Obscuris  [author] 24 Jan, 2021 @ 2:57pm
Yes, it should be spawning from an event that triggers on game start, but only 1 system should spawn currently. It's possible that I may have broke something the last time I updated, but they should be observable if you want to check if they're spawning.

It's possible that they're dying to something early, though it shouldn't be the FEs. I guess I'll have to make them spawn far from hostiles to be sure.
TurtleShroom 24 Jan, 2021 @ 2:16pm
No, I mean that instead of having a high drop weight in the Solar System Initializer, I mean add it into the loaded galaxy by an Event.
Obscuris  [author] 24 Jan, 2021 @ 2:06pm
It should already be force spawning, is it not for you? I may have to look at it again either way...
TurtleShroom 24 Jan, 2021 @ 1:23pm
You should consider writing an Event that forces this system to be added into the game.
Shadowspire77 10 Dec, 2020 @ 9:20am
ok, thanks for adding that, love the mod!!!
Obscuris  [author] 10 Dec, 2020 @ 4:22am
@flyons_gary The most interaction you can do is kill them. Although, if you kill a Queen that controls all the other units in the system, for now the rest of the units will permanently guard that system.

@saltcityJKJ In order for their Hordes to keep up with them, Queens will create Unstable Wormholes between systems. It's not actually a thing in Aurora 4x, but since I couldn't remember if lesser Star Swarm could travel between systems without a Jump Gate, I decided they shouldn't normally be able to.
Shadowspire77 9 Dec, 2020 @ 4:46pm
@Harmonically_impaired i saw that they made unstable wormholes to travel between systems, i did not see it in the description. is it a bug or did you add it?
flyons_gary 9 Dec, 2020 @ 4:00pm
Ah, so what can you do with them? Can I only run away once they start expanding?
Obscuris  [author] 9 Dec, 2020 @ 3:38pm
For now, not really. They're essentially just 'dangerous' fauna.
flyons_gary 9 Dec, 2020 @ 12:32pm
Hm so can they be interacted with?
Fisicosaurio 1 Dec, 2020 @ 6:57am
I really like this
Shadowspire77 30 Nov, 2020 @ 5:56am
ok thanks i just wanted to double check
Obscuris  [author] 29 Nov, 2020 @ 7:55pm
Spawns at the beginning, but they usually take an incredibly long time to leave their starting system.
Shadowspire77 29 Nov, 2020 @ 7:15am
is this an endgame crisis or does it spawn at the beginning of the game?
