hey @holly! thanks for the bug report! I'll pass it along to Valve as well as do some testing on my end to see if I can debug the cause. Unfortunately it's most likely something that Valve may have to fix on their backend!

hewwo to any devs that might be reading this -- currently running tf2 on linux so maybe this is just related to that. i have a skating scorcher with twinkling lights (the rgb variant), but as of a recent update, it seems to switch between the silver/gold (shimmering) and the rgb (twinkling) variant at complete random. it seems to be completely random which one will show up now even for other players (ill have rgb, and my gf on another pc will have silver/gold). just thought id make a note..i like it but i dont know if this is intentional.
