snippy, it might be because of something besides the map like mods. you can give orders in the map interface/menu interface in game

Noice map, but there are a few critiques I have to address since I like this map for Vietnam War-esque scenarios...
1. Bots tend to exit the boats immediately after getting in...
2. A huge number of bots remain stationary at capture points: "Orecliff Bridge" and "Farside Dock" thus they do not usually advance to other capture points, just a few squads of bots...
3. The "A.D. Artifact" capture point often gets ignored and not captured by bots...

Oh I didn't know about this, just checked it out and it does look good, though might take a bunch of manual effort rescaling and rotating.

(A bit late but anyway) The problem with lights is when they have decimal values. So just set them all to integers and it should work

If Everything is White there is a light source causing this problem, i would double check all Light Sources and pitch them down

Just gotta say this is the most detailed and realistic map I have ever seen by any map maker. In any game, ever.
Unfortunately more detail = more lag! But I still played with 200 bots and had a blast :D

your map gives me a black screen if I try to play in Spec Ops. I have no idea why. and this frustrates me to no end, because this map? this is QUALITY. it's disgustingly well made. impeccable setting, lovely aesthetic, and combat flows beautifuly. you can snipe. you can flank. you can rush. you can camp. you can grenade or 'zooka stuff, or be an accurate shooter, or evne go with melee via backstabs. it's possibly my favorite map.

Any idea what could be causing this? if I could SPEC OPs this up I'd have the time of my life.

This is very impressive, I would really like to see what you could make using Unity because the ingame map editor is pretty limited.

As a mapmaker I can't play this map, there's so much work put into it that it just kills me. By that I mean it's great map, don't get me wrong ;)

I've always wanted to make a map for Ravenfield, it'd give me more reason to continue with my half-finished projects in Cinema4D. But it also feels so... Intimidating somehow. And I've always been afraid to ask for help, out of fear that I might get ridiculed for asking "such a simple question" or whatever. I'm a very timid person I'll admit it ;v;

I'll be honest, I don't think I've considered a full guide. I have done a guide in the past on how to make convincing looking mountains (which is a little outdated now and I don't have it around anymore), but never my entire thought process about how I make a map... I'll consider it!

Moonkey have you ever considered doing a guide on how you make these maps? I know there's the official Ravenfield guide to mapmaking and there's a few YT tutorials, but I always felt "The more the merrier" and different people's thoughts and methods might give newcomers more insight on how they could get started too!

@BigusBotus: Difficult to answer question I guess. For me, it ran just fine and only started to have noticeable framedrops at bot count of 60+ but it would play comfortably at 60 ~ 80. Anything higher and it'd start to get bad.

I'm running on a Predator Helios 300 laptop, which isn't exactly high-end or anything, so your results might be better or worse.

Beautiful map, fun to play on as well. It'd be awesome if base Ravenfield had maps like this too; detail-wise or thematic (There's only one mountain map right now :/ )


Is slightly on the computer heavy side however; I can go about 40 vs 40 at best before lag starts to set in, but it's ot the sort of map that'd play well in 64 vs 64 or 100 vs 100 anyway xD

The map is unquestionably one of the most orgasmic visually. Gameplay wise, it offers a lot of close quarter, medium and even long range.

My only serious criticism is it cannot take much enemies without being wildly lagging and I don't have a potato. Usually, maps never have a problem when I pit in 150 bots, but this map can't take it and even at 60-90, eh. Other than that, very solid map that deserves recognition.
