@Gill It might be a conflict with another mod... but I have not updated this since I put it in Parabellum. Perhaps I will make rework it.

Hi, is ti just me or is this curently broken? When I try to activate, there is na error message saying N_LASER2 not found. Are there any dependecies?

This should be named CIWS, not CWIS. CIWS stands for "Close-In Weapon System"; CWIS makes no sense.

TAR5US my man, working overtime on this stuff! This is a phenomenal mod! Almost a game changer but mostly just an improvement. Only one suggestion for improvement. I think this should come after Powerful Engines 3 since it is very stronk. Maybe increase the range 4-6% to add further incentive? IDK just a thought. Any chance we'll get an DE-CWIS ABM SAM site? I think that would be pretty sweet as long as it could be balanced properly.

@TAR5US, GREAT WORK SIR! Thank you for your awesome mod! Quick question if you don't mind, you mentioned that you were interested in giving carriers a buff; is it possible to add the F14 Tomcat for a long range anti-air asset? Or perhaps at the very least change the F-15 Sprite to an F-14 lol? Would very much appreciate it if so sir! Thank you again!

@olympus NOTE: This MOD is now a WIP (work in progress). It will be completed as soon as the post-release patch is released. There is a couple issues with it. There is a scatter effect when a target blows up sending a beam of laser towards the north pole. Also the fire rate / damage rate will be adjusted with a new laser effect with the patch. Thank you for your patience and support. Feel free to play with it but it is not finished.

@That Unnervingly happy turtle The carrier can certainly have weapons but I haven't messed with carriers yet. This weapon system can go on anything. Carriers don't really need anti-air as they have planes to do that for them. I'm still thinking about how to make carriers better. I've already made an Naval Air Base so they can get resupplied at sea. I'm thinking of making a Heavy Battle Cruiser with this weapon system, and a AWEC helo pad, maybe a rail gun or some other weapon systems.

This would probably be more applicable to Carriers but I'm not sure if the game allows for Carriers to have defence weapons given that irl they tend to have SAM and CIWS batteries for self defence. I suppose it also makes sense from a balance point of view but then KEW satellites aren't terribly balanced and it would make carriers somewhat valuable late-game when their escorts are likely to be yeeted by a high-yield nuclear missile.
