Trust me, if it somehow gets in, and Valve tells me it won't be too dark without the grid, I'll remove it. I'm not big on it either.

It has nice lines and a nice color scheme. I think it would look better without the grid but I can understand where you are coming from with it potentially being too dark.

If the grid wasn't there, it'd be 'too black' and would be rejected sadly.

Nice and clean design. I'm not sure about this grid, but this is only my opinion :P
