could probably use an update but thanks for uploading

good idea in theory but in practice it doesn't mean much since domination needs the original capital. however, i still appreciate your work and this is a very nice mod for roleplay!

@KaptainCalus I met the same bug as you.

Hi there! I want to adress an issue. I was playing a game, I built the "palace annex" building, however the palace disappered and didn't appear in the other city.

The only thing I guess I am able to mention here is that the original palace had a great work of art inside, and when looking at the great works in the tourism menu I could see the new palace there in the specified city, however it was not inside the city, nor giving it's yeld bonuses and without any great work of art inside.

How do I use it?, I don't see the option to build a palace, FYI I'm using a saved game

@Identity What you describe applies to almost every mod, because most mods change the game database (as this one does).

Seems like when loading a modded game with the mod on (in which the saved modded game didn't have this mod) the same message of Configuring game Data (that appears when loading mods) appear and the game crashes.
However it does not happen when starting a new Modded game from full blank.
Cringe Isekai Enjoyer 28 Nov, 2017 @ 7:30am
I tried to load a saved game with this mod (that I had previously saved without the mod on) and the game crashed uppon initiation. I haven't tried yet starting a solo entire game untill now yet, I will update soon probably.

Something f*cky happened. A bug resulted independently of this mod, causing the capital to move to the 2nd city settled. I got this mod as a reaction. Weirdly, the 'new capital' was able to build the Palace Annex. When it finished, there was anarchy, but the PALACE DIDNT MOVE. The next turn it was like nothing even happened, the 2nd city was still the capital, the 1st city still had the palace, and the 2nd city build another annex.

Would you make it so AI don't move their Capitol's in very unstrategic locations? Sometimes agervates me, and real quick question, would you make a mod that means if you lose your said capitol (Original one) It gives a real big penalty to the nation that lost that said capitol?
framedarchitecture  [author] 5 Jan, 2017 @ 8:40am
@jackson City states will not ask you to build National Wonders, of which the Annex is an example. Maybe you've installed some mod that changes the CS quests.
Gehenna 4 Jan, 2017 @ 5:21pm
could you make it so city states don't keep giving me the quest to build the palace annex? Sometimes I like my capitol where it is.
Reggin 25 Feb, 2016 @ 1:31pm
Are there any known compatibiity issues with this mod?

IX 27 Oct, 2015 @ 5:11am
So, I installed this mod played some games without really making use of it, then I find a spot for a city that is way better than my original capital and I moved there.
After building the " palace annex " I got a building by the same name in that city and my Capital stayed the same.
There was no anarchy either, it just doesn't work, is there a reason for that?
Boost 22 Sep, 2015 @ 4:50pm
I happily downloaded and used this mod, but suddenly the mod disappeared, with the mod appearing as "subscribed." I really love this mod, what do I do?
framedarchitecture  [author] 24 May, 2015 @ 8:35pm
@Nediak This mod functions exactly as described in the description above. See in game Pedia entry for more information.
Nediak 24 May, 2015 @ 12:25pm
because it doesnt work
Nediak 23 May, 2015 @ 5:22pm
is it supposed to not work?
Reyquiem 6 May, 2015 @ 8:04pm
I remember that older games let you do this. Thanks for bringing it to the newest one.
KeirLoire 1 May, 2015 @ 5:29am
[TTA]That_Raider_Xavier, people go in anarchy when changing the capital city because the government officials are migrating into the new capital or let's just say... they are packing up their documents and things to move into the new capital. Therefore, there would be an anarchy because the government utilities are suspended and currently migrating.
KeirLoire 26 Apr, 2015 @ 5:41pm
This mod is fairly nice :D Nice work.
kroko 26 Feb, 2015 @ 12:18pm
That is fair enough, this also would make sense in my world, where Heliopolis was bigger, had wonders, so Ramesess have reasons to hate me for life. TY then, I am staying with this mod, just have to be more careful next time.
framedarchitecture  [author] 26 Feb, 2015 @ 12:03pm
@KrokoTS I'm aware of how the mod works; perhaps we are talking at cross purposes. The diplo hit is ... inevitable when you take a capital with this mod (though this effect does not stack). I'm sorry this bothers you, but that is hard coded and I'm not going to offer a DLL "fix" for this. As with many of my mods, this is designed to help the AI better compete.

That's how it looks. Ruins of Heliopolish south of Thebes. There is no chance to befriend Ramesses now. Unless you can somehow delete the captured capital hate? Through some editor maybe?
kroko 25 Feb, 2015 @ 11:30pm
Well, that's how it supposed to be, but it's not - AI moved capital to Heliopolis because it was bigger, then i razed it, capital was returned to Thebes, and i got (possibly forever) diplo hit "captured our original capital".
framedarchitecture  [author] 25 Feb, 2015 @ 4:14pm
@KrokoTS Well that diplo hit is only for that particular "first" city, not all the new cities to which a civ might move. That first city is a hard-coded "capital"
kroko 25 Feb, 2015 @ 3:12pm
Author, could you disable the big relation penalty when you capture AI moved capital. Because they move capitals often, and when you capture new capitals, they hate you (-80) even having their original capitals. Right now I prefer to disable this mod, scary how civilizations might hate each other by capturing capitals.
Damn I used word "capital" many times.
dankukulele 11 Feb, 2015 @ 2:31am
i made paris the capital city of the USA
Warwick🐺 31 Dec, 2014 @ 10:48pm
Why would the people go in anarchy?:O Many countries change their capital and the people didn't go nuts.
framedarchitecture  [author] 23 Aug, 2014 @ 2:46pm
@Craig Boone Sadly no; this mod alters the database, so not possible.
goldenfiberwheat238 15 Aug, 2014 @ 12:48pm
if you already ha\/e a game going then can you download this mod, acti\/ate it, and be able to use it in said game?
IconaDeFun 14 Aug, 2014 @ 7:35pm
@framedarcheitecture I just updated it (had to delete the MOD folder contents for other reasons) it is working flawlessly now. Thank you! :)
framedarchitecture  [author] 14 Aug, 2014 @ 6:35pm
@Tom_Fun Since version 4, the AI will only move its capital if they have another city that is larger than their current capital. That actually doesn't happen that often... have you tried the most recent version?
Sarc 14 Aug, 2014 @ 2:18pm
Hi can someone up to another host, i cant download from steam
IconaDeFun 13 Aug, 2014 @ 3:58pm
I really love this mod, but is there a way to keep the AI from moving the capital every other turn? (exageration) Cause it's hard to put a diplomat in some civ's countries since they move their capital all the time.
Blaire 2 Aug, 2014 @ 6:33am
Maybe make it so you can't move your capital when you're at war.
Olorin 3 May, 2014 @ 7:16am
Great mod, must have been a Civ 5 feature from start...
Damion 3 Apr, 2014 @ 12:48pm
I only wish there was an option to restrict capital movement during war (so as to prevent delaying a domination victory via relocation).
DP182Nowaza 1 Apr, 2014 @ 1:00am
This is a great simplistic mod that should have been in the game to begin with.
Pantaku 15 Mar, 2014 @ 7:35pm
This is a very useful mod if you hate where you started
Fierysaint 21 Feb, 2014 @ 7:56pm

Xóchitlbara 20 Feb, 2014 @ 6:06pm
