I like this given that the pants on Tank make him look ridiculous. Would want somebody to make a "naked" tank but no genis (i mean Killing Floor has naked zombielike clones without genis and it's okay)

@Studebaker Motor Company I don’t really have any future mod plans. Life’s become busy and I may revisit modding / compatibility fixes in the future but for now nothing’s on the horizon

@Studebaker Motor Company Check out the Licker with Hunter animations mod I added L4D1 compatibility for, it's a Smoker replacement.

The mod I was talking about that fixes in single player is called something like L4D1 population fix. Can't remember the exact name

I replaced the strider with this. I also replaced hunter and boomer with your mods, works just fine. Im grateful for that. Do you have any replacement for smoker compatible with l4d1 levels? Maybe some other things you plan to release? I might have some proposals.. I prefer stuff from half life.

@Crohnos hm that makes sense. But weird is in one chapter (where Bill sacrifices himself) it worked fine. I only play SP... However I played those level by console command (so sv_cheats 1 would work). What is the name of that mod?

@Studebaker Motor Company If I had to guess a lot of your mods haven't been updated for compatibility with L4D1 maps post Last Stand. There is a mod that allows you to fix this in single player only, but online any non-updated mods won't work on L4D1 maps (the sounds working is normal behavior). Last Stand update really screwed up a lot of mods and so many need to be updated like I did with this one.

@Crohnos so I found out yesterday that in the same level, the strider worked. I had no idea why. But then I started different level (apartments and subway) and there hunter and boomer were original as well as tank... sounds remained though. It's so weird. Also the difference was that previously I had only headcrab zombies spawning (from HL alyx) and while in the subway there were sometime normal vanilla zombies. I did the integrity verification but there wasnt any difference. However I got the message that one file was failed to verify and "it was downloaded again"... any advice? Thanks.

*right click, click Properties, then click the Local Files tab

@Studebaker Motor Company right click L4D2 in your library and click the Local Files tab, then the Verify Integrity of Game Files button. I highly recommend this when switching to ANY new special infected mod, as I've found it to be problematic with many before doing this. It will replace any corrupt or missing files to restore proper functionality to the newly downloaded mod. But based on your comment, it sounds like you tried to install more than one Tank mod and so it only used the Half Life strider. Trust me on this. Use ONLY the Napad tank mod, verify your file integrity, and try it again

@Crohnos file integrity? I should do that after installing mods? I mean I installed more mods from workshop and everything worked well. All of the creatures. My problem is I replaced first tank with half life strider. It worked but only for l4d2 levels, not for l4d1 levels. There it was original tank. I tried your mod only. And it was the same I think. What do you think may be the problem?

@Studebaker Motor Company You need to give more details than "doesn't work". My guess is that you didn't verify file integrity after installing the mod, which you should always do when installing new special infected mods.

@Vancitybill Glad to hear, as I've only played on a few with it myself. It's a surprisingly easy fix that involves duplicating the model files related to the tank (or "hulk" as the file names dictate) and append _l4d1. Same goes for any special infected mods that stopped working on L4D1 maps

Sorry friend, I don't have any experience creating mods like this one - I only knew how to take what was existing and make it work for L4D1 maps, and wanted to share with fellow users of the original mod. Sadly I don't think the original author will give you a response either, as they didn't update it themselves and never responded when I notified them of this compatibility fix to see if they wanted to upload it on the original mod
