@tan_mai.ke I tried to code for it but it seems the launcher denies the files and does not look at the code, if you have any idea as to how that can be solved I'd be happy to try it.

imo i think you should make the "Add generals" decisions only accessible via debug mode, as debug only decisions can only be made with the console, which requires a non-ironman game to be on.

I think you use the wrong portrait background, it should be
Steam\steamapps\common\Hearts of Iron IV\tools\art\portrait_leader_background.png

@justtxyank, yes that's why I tried to disable it for ironman (which works). But paradox has the files restriction as it seems so we'll have to maybe make a separate mod for the generals..... I'll give it some thought.

If you use a mod that adds anything other than gfx like this it will not work in ironman. Can't have extra generals added to the game and play ironman unfortunately. :(

@Some Random Guy, looks like you're right I introduced this line into the code but it doesn't seem to get checked by the game: allowed = { is_ironman = no }
You know of another workaround?
