First of all, great networks. The only thing, I have a problem with all networks created using Intersection Marking tool. Basically it creates huge walls when zoomed out to a bird view and the transition is quite rough.

Is there any workaround for this issue?

Well, I am not sure atm ... the "hermaphrodite - version" is ready to go already, but I'd want to wait a little longer ... It seems as if macsergey doesnt have much time atm to work on IMT. I've provided another bug report a motnh ago and it hasnt been reviewed yet ... sry

is there anyway to have the elevation less than -10m? my retaining wall is still too high to go on the low side of a raised road way

@Londsw Yep, there is an issue in IMT regarding the lod position ... macsergey is aware of that and will fix it. The limitation regarding the height for decoration networks in IMT is another thing ... I´ve asked macsergey already about that ... if he´s going to change that, then I´ll keep the IMT versions in this pack as they are ... if its not possible to change that limitation, then I´ll update them again and reduce their height... sorry for the overall unconvenience, but these measures are all needed to counter an issue in the game, which wont be fixed anymore ... CS2 is on the way and the guys at CO unfortunately dont have time anymore to fix that issue ... :(

although had to redo IMT markings with this update, it should be fine now going forward. and these look better now from far away. thank you clus for creating your assets and keeping updated!

@all I did an update, which I really had to do due an issue regarding LODs. The result of the update is, that all nets used via IMT will be gone after you load in to your City. I really am sorry for that, but there was no other way, because that issue (most likely) wont be fixed due to CS1 end of life time ... :/ I found a working fix to that issue, but I had to create new versions of these nets. Those new versions can be used with IMT without the previous problem.

@[FL] Broccoli I´ll add an AN - version (all variants in one network), which can be inverted. I thinks thats a good solution for all of us. ;)

So ... I´ve looked in to it and found a way .... BUT I wont implement the "feature", because that might cause already placed network to invert. Everybody who isnt using NMT will then have to realign those networks manually (aka rebuild them), because inverting only works with the help of mods. Sry ...

As a "possible compensation" for the inability to invert them, I´ve changed the AI of all the nets.
After the update you´ll be able to use them with Intersection Marking Tool. That way you can reduce the number of used nets (game limits) in your saves.

The invert segment on network multitool doesn't change the side the fence is on it just sorta flips the texture of the wall, not sure if that's only affecting me or not.

@Stuwot hi, Netwo4k Multitool has an option to invert a segment.
@scoobyduped Indeed the resaon for that could be on th3 assets side ... in game (engine wise) its a "path", because "decorative networks" in CS can only contain one 3d-model. Thats probably the reason why it isn t shown in IMT.... don't know if IMT also works for pathways... due to your question I guess it doesn't ...

Hello,
is there anyway to flip the side that the barrier is on on placed walls? Much like you can right click on one way roads with the upgrade tool to change their direction?

The way those made are the easiest to use. Is it possible to make it not concrete but brick? Very useful in some cases

Building roads through mountainous terrain has become so much nicer with these. A little difficult to use when the cliffs are certain heights but I made them work and they look so nice.

... ooh, workaround though, ... place a quay to snap the terrain, then place these retainers on top? MM, wonder if that would work.

Another way "to fix" the terrain is to use invible terrain conforming networks alongside with these walls. Those are also available in the WS.

Its not a quay ...therefore it doesn't work like one. These walls are just cosmetic pieces, as every other "retaining wall" in the workshop. The only way to have a "real" retaining wall in this game is to use a "quay".(as you've mentioned it) I already have "quay versions" of these walls, but they're not released yet. You can search the workshop for quays ... There are a lot available atm. For example, Avanya released a bunch of them...

For example:

I have a road that's going down into flat land. Just before it goes into tunnel, the auto slope on each side is about 45-degree from the low road to the now higher land. What I want is for this retaining wall to act like the quay mechanic. So that if the drop-edge of the wall is at the height of the land, there is a sheer drop to the road.

Using these retaining walls, if the wall height is adjusted to the same level as the high ground, and moved (using Move-it) to the edge of the high ground, the 45 degree slope down to the road still exists and protrude through the retaining wall. If the base of the wall is alongside the road and the top of the wall the same height as the higher land, there is still a 45 degree slope creating a ditch behind the wall.

Can these retaining walls act like the quay, and 'snap' the terrain to the top edge of the back of the wall?

How do I do this with terrains of differing heights? When I try to put them where I need them, I end up with the slope still visible and not held in place by the retaining wall. Am I missing a step?

Sometimes -not often just sometimes- a modder comes by that completely changes the gane for the better, someone whose assets become impossible such a solid part of the whole experience that you can never play the game without them. Clus is one of those super rare CS unicorns.

No he's definitely not ... @robinplayz1999 I've uploaded all networks with a "height of 3m" ... which means that you have to lower them with the help of move it, if you want them on ground level.
