Game speed: No. Not to my knowledge, anyway.

Era: Yes, I can make the Canal give additional gold once the world enters a new era.

Trade Routes: Don't think there's a direct way, but I might be able to create a similar effect by simply making all your trade routes give more gold.

@truiz024 Again, I'll have to look into whether that can even be done. AFAIK the game doesn't allow you to mess with the AI Civs too much so I won't get my hopes up.

Plus, I'm wondering how to handle if the AI doesn't have the gold to pay.

Is it possible to make amount of GPT depend on: game speed / era on timeline / total trade routs actually available within turn?
The first two I afaik change prices etc in vanila game.

Small alteration, but an important one; should the gold that comes from a foreign unit passing through be FROM their treasury or not? Arguments for this would be tactical/realism, arguments against would be that it is too harmful and most probably would forgo such a penalty. I think this is something to consider though.

Imo, it should something like 50gpt, 250 gold per foreign unit passing thru and 500 per military unit.

It would be cool if you could leave the 10GPT and make it so that you get 100 gold whenever a foreign unit passes through it.
