I'll have a look at it. They are set in Kilometers with a small error factor :D
boslog2 16 Jul @ 3:50am

Pace Count Beads- Ace arsenal- in the "+" tab. easier to find if you sort alphabetically. Small Icon
rbdoggface 9 Oct, 2022 @ 2:18pm
I am trying to find the classname and path to add this to the SOG DLC whitelist. Anyone have an idea what this is?
LEE O C 23 Sep, 2022 @ 8:07pm
wow this is awesome. and i used ur site to covert pic to .paa thanks
Salbei  [author] 2 Apr, 2022 @ 4:08am
How about you trie it with only ace and see if you can find it then?
bob10001 1 Apr, 2022 @ 5:04pm
not found sadly, using the SOG dlc with a few ace enhancements. really would love for it to work though.
Salbei  [author] 1 Apr, 2022 @ 3:19pm
Have a look for: Pace count beads in English or Schritt Zähler Perlen in German
bob10001 1 Apr, 2022 @ 2:15pm
can't find it in the editor. what would i search?
Salbei  [author] 1 Apr, 2022 @ 1:21pm
You have to add it. It does not spawn in the default soldiers.
bob10001 31 Mar, 2022 @ 9:24pm

Been looking for these beads in the editor for two days now. Still cant find them. How do you add them to your inventory?
Steve 7 Nov, 2021 @ 2:57pm
Awesome!
Many thanks.
Will try to test over the next day or so
Salbei  [author] 7 Nov, 2021 @ 12:27pm
@Steve fixed, sry it took so long.
Salbei  [author] 7 Nov, 2021 @ 11:54am
@Steve I'll have a look at it.
Steve 5 Nov, 2021 @ 7:09am
Our server admin thinks a fix would be:
in your initSettings.sqf
lines 22 and 34, change the true to 0
And then in line 10, change that to 1

I'm afraid that part is a bit beyond me so I'm just passing on what I've been told there....
Steve 5 Nov, 2021 @ 7:06am
We've not yet managed to get the 'auto show' to work on our server.
It does work in single player though.

We think that the CBA settings mean that the server can't overwrite players and players can't overwrite server settings so no settings can be changed from the default
Steve 15 Oct, 2021 @ 2:45am
That was quick!
A brilliant mod just got better!
Thanks again.
Steve 15 Oct, 2021 @ 1:35am
Awesome!
Many thanks
Salbei  [author] 14 Oct, 2021 @ 5:17pm
@Steve Good Point, I 'll add it
Steve 14 Oct, 2021 @ 2:29pm
I love this mod.
Would you consider adding an 'auto show' for each time a bead it ticked over?
In reality, because you'd be counting your own paces and ticking the beads over yourself, you'd know exactly when you'd cross these milestones yet you need to either permanently show beads or check very regularly to get this info.

You know I wasn't gonna use it despite it being a cool feature, but that Predator14 dude WHINING about it convinced me, subscribed and downloaded, favorited and rated up.

@Predator14

My boy, if you enjoy realism as much as I do, it is important things like these exist. Sure, you may not like it, but that doesn't mean you need to blab on about it. :)
Predator14 12 Jan, 2021 @ 1:00pm
@ SkyHughAchat;
It's not realistic and it doesn't mean anything at all, it's ridiculous ... this mod has no interest in existing, you reassure yourself.
Salbei  [author] 12 Jan, 2021 @ 9:02am
@PiEN have a look in the CBA Options
PiEn 10 Jan, 2021 @ 1:55pm
I would love to see an option to make beads visible all the time, not only for few seconds
Skye 16 Dec, 2020 @ 10:56am
@Predator14

For you, maybe. It is better for people who have disabled icons on maps for realism.
Predator14 21 Nov, 2020 @ 6:47pm
unnecessary.
Maestroshake 12 Nov, 2020 @ 12:41pm
this is a neat touch. For the unfamiliar, the lower lanyard marks out 100m distances; 1 bead=100m, the upper lanyard marks 1km distances, 1 Bead=1000m. Since the average pace of a grown man is 1m-ish, you simply count out 100 paces then pull a bead as you go.

Its a quick visual reference tool for if you need to accurately mark out your distance travelled without pulling out the map every 10 minutes to back-azimuth your route and sketch out how far youve gone. Handy little landnav tool, and not one i expected to see in arma. Subbed just for the nostalgia of shitty ruck marches and hamburger feet.

Oldru_Vallière 5 Oct, 2020 @ 8:44pm
might want to add ace dependency for those who don't read "There will be no non ACE version."
KJW 5 Oct, 2020 @ 2:22pm

Helwyr 5 Oct, 2020 @ 1:09pm
Is there an animation where I can tap my foot every time I've forgotten that I have to remind my group we've gone 50 paces?
