I’m not sure if this was a test map or a demo. But one of the precepts I like to follow in Chamber design is that the first step in is always safe. This gives someone a chance to look around and analyze the Chamber so they can decide how to proceed. This is common courtesy.

Don't worry a longer Android Hell map nearing completion.

I would love to put more of these out but I am doing my Masters then after that I will be off to the working world. So I will not be able to to increst the relaese rate, sorry. I still plan to make these in my free time though.

The last and hardest that I have not seen documented anywere is animating the npc's.

You can only us scripted_sequence to set an idel animation, it is imposible to use these for dynamic animations. I wouls sugest avoid using these as in Portal 2 they are insainly complex to set up and don't provide the functionality you will need.

The best way to animate npc_personality_core entertys is to use an entry such as logic_relay but can be anything and in the paramitors you put the animation name.

# MyOutput: Trigger
# Target: @sphere "If you want "Wheatley" to speak you need to call it this"
# Target Input: SetIdleSequence "The animation will loop untill it is told a diffrent one or to stop"
# Parameter: sphere_idle_angry "Name of animation"

This will animate the npc's. As a note I just figured this out today. If you can add to this info please do.

Thanks for all the feedback, I wish I could reply to comments indavidualy.

I can't rember who but someone asked a while back how did I animate the cores. I said I would do a video but have not got round to that so will explan as best as I can here.

First you need to be resnobly familiur with "World Craft" err... I mean Hammer.
There are two main methods the first uses a Prop_dynamic. You can set a looping animation by putting the name of the animation in the Defult Animation box. You can also dynamicly change the animation with other entertys such as buttons or logic_ relays with the pramitor SetAnimation then in the box below animation name.

OK, now I see this real place where I would otherwise be sent at the first sign of defiance...or at least a portion of it....

Also, 2 things: 1) When i try 2 spawn a core it instantly disappears, but when a spawn a bunch the deleting fails. 2) Make android heaven! GLaDOS never metioned it, so it must be a secret!

Glad you all enjoyed, ZAEROS I need to play with the timings, sometimes events don't trigger when the map sporns. Short but sweet, always best being left wanting more rather than fed up by the end. PotatOS1 I would of loved to used custom skins but I don't have any. Epiccreeper1304 That is video worthy, it is not as dificult as you would think, although the Hammer editors is rahter complex and have quite a learning curve.

I saw the space core (with normal animations), Wheatley (with space core animations), Fact core (with Rick animations), and Rick (with Fact core animations). Plus, i found a few bombs. Can you tell me how to give the cores custom animations? And also, how did you make the defecting turret into the game as well as a side-ways turret, a defective turret and a frankenturret without legs and turrets? :|

TheEprom9. Dont understan why but sometimes I appear as the usual 2D black player then other times as Atlas??? Grandson very not happy when not Atlas.

Hey, I still liked it! Interesting choice for the incinerator room. Usually a deep, firey pit, but looks like you just went with the hole in the floor full of fire and roasting turrets! Are you going to make a part two, or is this it?
