BlueRaven307 8 Jul, 2024 @ 11:03pm

frostmare11 11 Nov, 2021 @ 10:47am

Mr. Mauer (Mollari) 1 Nov, 2021 @ 6:46pm
1.3 ?

Hey, can I get these to work with eclipses? I wanted to do a "perma-dark" scenario of sorts without messing up my other saves.

@IcyManipulation

Perhaps it is, but when I tested I got a lot of errors. Play with the mod in the middle of the game at your own risk.
LizardWizard 28 Sep, 2020 @ 9:26am
I just tested it and it seems to work fine when you add it mid save.
Cybranian  [author] 28 Sep, 2020 @ 5:28am
@IcyManipulation

If you try not to, you will get an error. At least this is how the mod works on the full version.
LizardWizard 28 Sep, 2020 @ 5:26am
Hey! If you don't mind me asking why do we have to start a new game for this mod? It doesn't seem like the type of mod that you would have to make a new save game for.
Koi 19 Sep, 2020 @ 4:57pm
doesnt work when theres an eclipse, kinda funny
Cybranian  [author] 12 Sep, 2020 @ 3:04am
@Ulanovsky

Update the mod, I removed the accuracy penalties.
Ulanovsky 12 Sep, 2020 @ 1:31am
Hi. I noticed an anomaly while using your mod, namely during the day the accuracy is limited by "Weather 30%", can it be fixed somehow ? because I like this mod very much.
Cybranian  [author] 11 Sep, 2020 @ 6:38am
@Solstice
This is probably possible, but alas beyond my knowledge :(
145/240V 11 Sep, 2020 @ 6:30am
Thank you! I think I'm too scared to try the full version, but I also can't think of a good theme to go with it. If only there was a 'Pitch Black' Rimworld mod...

As a suggestion, would it be possible to add a very faint light to the cursor, in a similar vein to RimCo Mining Helmets?
Cybranian  [author] 11 Sep, 2020 @ 5:33am
@Solstice
Okay, I'll just remove the penalties in this version.
145/240V 11 Sep, 2020 @ 4:26am
What about a version with just the darkness, and no accuracy penalties?
A mod called NightVision re-adds the alpha darkness penalty. Maybe it's possible to incorporate that into this mod as well?

Love the mod by the way. Seeing man-eating donkeys come out of the void was terrifying... until they were all gunned down, thankfully.
Cybranian  [author] 10 Sep, 2020 @ 10:19pm
@funkypistachios

In theory, you can do this, but for example, if you add a mod in the middle of the game, the game will give you a lot of errors. I'm not sure how it works the other way around.
Cybranian  [author] 10 Sep, 2020 @ 10:18pm
@demwilson

Because the mod is implemented through the weather. As you know, the weather doesn't have time settings, so I can't remove the penalty during the day.
FunkyTrashCan 10 Sep, 2020 @ 5:56pm
tried it, and its totally safe to remove from saves. :)
FunkyTrashCan 10 Sep, 2020 @ 5:44pm
hi! is this mod safe to remove from save files?
demwilson 10 Sep, 2020 @ 5:26pm
Why is the penalty for shooting still applied during the day in this version of the mod?
TheSevenSins 9 Sep, 2020 @ 1:48pm
This mod really force me to do proper lighting (which I usually don't do enough of) and I love it.
Cybranian  [author] 8 Sep, 2020 @ 12:36am
@TropicalRenegade

Yes, it only affects the darkness of the environment. And also a fun fact - the accuracy of shooting not only decreases at night, but also during the day. :)
Rotten 7 Sep, 2020 @ 9:25pm
Npcs can detect you normally at the night?
Cybranian  [author] 7 Sep, 2020 @ 2:35pm
@Sniper

Thanks! I'm glad you liked it :)
Zero 7 Sep, 2020 @ 7:21am
I JUST WANT TO SAY THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS! the night actully feels dangers now to be out, and it makes the lights from other mods (flairs is a great mod , i recomend it for this) feels more inpactful now! thank you again!
Think3r 7 Sep, 2020 @ 12:38am
Light or darkness do not affect shooting accuracy. They used to do this in one of the beta versions but they don't anymore as of 1.0. https://www.reddit.com/r/RimWorld/comments/f40l44/howdoes_darkness_effect_shooting/
