Wasn't hard, just had to figure out which states were added & change their id's to fall in line.
FWIW; I imagined the overall focuses that the Greek tree provides is close to what I'd want for an Eastern Rome of this scale, of course editing the text & images to match.
Anyway good mod. I'm starting to make a national ideas tree similar to Poland's Miezdymorze alliance, to allow Byzantium to make a faction with the countries it has guaranteed in this mod - I can let you know if I finish it, if you're interested.
However, there is nothing in the decisions and events files that force Byzantium to be Democratic. Was there anything you changed on your end that made it this way?
Hopefully there won't be too much work to get it back to BBA spec.
Now, AFAIK the BSR team is actually making progress on the NSB update, so I might be able to use their objectively better map to make the borders prettier. In short, Should I update this based on the standard map, or wait for the BSR map to come online?
