"Ninjato" isn't strictly historical but it matches the vibe - if paladins can have cross-shaped greatswords I don't see why shinobi can't have the pop-culture ninja sword

Well, maybe you're right about the ninjato but these swords are mostly used by bandit ninja factions genins and chunins as well as some other characters also called ninja. So I find it justified to call it ninjato. Moreover I think calling it ninjato fits game vibe better and that is more important to me than name correctness - especially that I can't find any reasonable name for "poor man's katana"

i mean, ninjato isnt a real name for that kind of sword. It would be more accurate to name it poor man's katana since thats what they'd be associated with >w> glaive and nagamaki are accurate
